There's a major sale on. Upto 80% off, which is cool. But a shame as it's closing down.
One of the few department stores left trading as TJ Hughes. We all know it's struggling so I can forgive them for the shabby chic look. They are cheap have a wide range, they advertise as branded products at discount prices but mostly unbranded or unknown brands. I'm pleased with my purchases though and the staff where helpful, they seam to be happy working their.
The store to be honest is full of goodies, but today me and my wife we were really excited about buying a table from your store , but “ thank “ to your 2 staff attending the ground floor today, one at the tills and the other one supposed to help anyone around we didn’t , because none of them could be bothered moving a finger to help us, it was approximately 10.30am today as a reference, could not bother getting their names because I have been “treated well” enough so basically you lost a family of customers and all our friends plus, the money for the table. Thanks again the 2 brill gents today!
Not been here for a while. Had a good walk around the store at all levels, and found great selection and again good prices. This store chain has been around for many years and had its ups and downs. But by what I saw today, it's in a great place, and hopefully will go on for a lot of years and keep the store in Birkenhead.
Very pleased with my purchase from T J Hughes, I didn't realise until I got to the pay point that the curtains were well under half price, they look really good hanging up in my living room. Well done to all at Birkenhead store.
A great place for makeup,suntan lotion and all things for your holiday at reasonable prices,good quality and branded names. Fancy just staying home in the back garden! Lots of garden furniture,with solar patio lights to make the evening light up,ornaments and children's patio sets too,again very reasonable priced,household goods from bedding to curtains,throws and cushions too.clothing for all ages and shoes too,it's basically a one stop shop for all you need.
A great place to buy household goods, bedlinen, quilts etc, crockery, pans&pots, and even clothes! If you find smt to your taste, the price won't disappoint you. Just back from there, bought 2 memory foam pillows £7 each and a set of simple pillows £5 for 2 - that's what I call sale!
Was in t j Hughes in Birkenhead to day 10 September and wanted to buy some Jimmy Choo perfume it's in the big brand event only to be told that the price was not right and the picture was the wrong box that is shown in the flayer, will not be buying any thing from the perfume range again
Got stuck in the lift and had to ring emergency bell. The doors then opened a few inches but when I tried to open them further they slammed shut on my fingers. Manager really not interested and no apology. Not taking this further, just avoiding the shop
Thank you to the manager everything got sorted out .staff in basement need to under stand if a customer buys something at the price shown .goes to the till.and while they are sorting something else out .they can then not take card of and higher price .if goods are already at the till .did not like the young woman speaking to me the way she did.many thanks to the manager coming to apologise and sort it all out for me
