Came here for a birthday meal. Loved the downstairs decor! Affordable prices, especially for central London. Food quality was excellent. Could not of made it six round after the first round of hot food! Fast service too!
For more or less £20 per person, it’s extremely good value for money. The quality of the fish included in the all-you-can-eat is actually quite good. The hot dishes prepared are alright but the sushi is the best part of it all. There are some items you can only order once but the salmon sushi/sashimi can be ordered as many times which is great! My friends and I love coming to this place whenever we want to get full off sushi. Would recommend!
It's getting more expensive which is understandable. But the sashimi and the sushi is decent quality. The hot foods are nice too. It is filling and considering the choices you get, it is a good place in central London. Service is quick but don't expect smiles or politeness. The sushi rolls are premade and cut to order so the seaweed loses the crispness. The specials are nice but one time only.
Been here before and revisited again. Buffet sushi with 6 rounds. Though it sounds quite little, you'll actually get quite full. You also get 8 choices from a selection of hot dishes. Sushi quality is quite good and hot food not bad. Didn't get food poisoning so that says something : Price is worth for the amount and food you get
Had a second visit and yet had another good experience. Food arrived in a timely manner and in a way that the table will not be overflowing with food. One plate finish the next comes. It's clear that have a good system in place in terms of delivering a good service as well as the waiters being attentive. A lot of reviews state that staff are rude which I disagree with. They're just focused on delivering the food, clearance and turning over the table. Building a rapport with guests is not their priority which is not necessarily a bad thing. There was three of us and managed to go through 2.5 rounds of food and was pretty full. In the first round of food, you can select 6 hot dishes and this can only be done once. Whereas cold plates of sushi & sashimi up to a selection of 8 is up to 6 rounds. There is a £5 wastage fee which is fair, and didn't experience so be sensible with how many rounds you go through. All food presented well, tasty and fresh. Has a serving of wasabi & ginger on the side. The atmosphere & ambience downstairs is subtle, simple. Although the seating is quite unconventional it's actually pretty comfortable but may not be suitable or of preference for others as you may end up sharing a table with strangers which we personally had no issue with. Otherwise there's the choice of being seated upstairs socially distanced with table and chairs. My siblings were impressed, and definitely said they would visit again. Before we all did not like sushi due to poor experiences. But this place has converted us to sushi lovers, improved our chopstick skills and went as far as trying out and appreciating wasabi.
My son loves sushi and has always wanted a sushi à volonté experience. Found this place, and it didn't disappoint. Quirky seating arrangement, and it was quiet on a Monday. Good selection, good price, good quality, good times! The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is due to the ordering system: everyone gets the same I.e. you tick the salmon roll box and you get 6 2 × 3: so, when you've selected 3 sushi each you end up with a plate of c36 sushi; a table of 3 would receive 9 pieces of each selection. It's not the end of the world but worth considering when you order. We consumed in the region of 30 sushi pieces and 10 hot items EACH !! Service was excellent. Salmon mayo roll was the only item we didn't like. All the rest was good. Recommended and we will most likely go again.
After a stressful drive into London with roadblocks and detours and walking around in the pouring rain we rediscovered Sushi Eatery. Having previously been in 2017, this was the highlight of our day. We had the buffet for 3ppl £19.80 per head Sun-Thurs £20.80 Fri-Sat exc. Drinks and additional charges. You can order up to 6 rounds. To avoid wasting food, you must finish eating each round before adding to your order. Everything was made fresh to order, my family particularly enjoyed the salmon and tuna sashimi. The soft shell crab roll and salmon skin roll were fresh and crunchy. Highly recommended, great quality and value for money considering the location.
Fair price in this location £24 including service charge and CASH only but very limited choices. The hot food has a limit of 8 small portions and not repeatable.
Very nice place in soho for sushi. Especially if u can eat a lot Food was fresh and tasty The chicken skewers 5/5 Spring rolls 5/5 Soup 5/5 Shrimp 3/5 Butterfish sashimii 5+ Soft shell crab roll 4/5 Other sashimi, nigiri and rolls 5/5 Took the open menu includes 8 sides and 6 rounds of sushi. We barely reached round 4. Has service charge. Fast serving. We were served within 15 min of ordering although place was crowded. I like the decor and traditional seating but dis not find it comfy. Maybe if cushions were more puffy as i felt like sitting on hard material
Me and friend had the buffet, you can order up to 6 rounds and 6 items per round. We were so stuffed after 3 rounds, even though the sushi is not the best presented nor freshest in London, for £25 per person it is definitely worth it. Salmon Sashimi and all the salmon rolls were very good, I also enjoyed the dried fish sushi. There are hot food which you can only order once 8 items besides sushi, would recommend getting the prawn tempura, calamari, chicken teriyaki don’t get their takoyaki, can’t taste squid at all and it’s not crispy, just so badly made. So if you’re on a budget and really wanna go full out to satisfy your sushi craving, this is it! It is a cash only place, and you have 1.5 hour for buffet.
