As far as I'm aware, this is Bristol's only Korean restaurant. The food is completely different to most Oriental options, so it's a great place to go if you're looking for a new experience. Surakhan has performed well in the Bristol Good Food Awards for the last two years, and it's easy to see why. Not only is the food amazing, but the service is fantastic too - and you'll often find the restaurant full of Korean diners, which is always a good sign! If you prefer things a little spicy, try the spicy soup, which comes with rice and a selection of salads. I always have the seafood version whenever I visit - hugely tasty, and very warming in the winter months!
Amazing food, amazing service and lovely staff; Korean Owner. I came here with a colleague during a business trip and had a large mix of different dishes. All the food was authentic and delicious, the prices are very reasonable and the owner is very friendly and caring. Would definitely recommend and will be back again!
Really polite waiting staff! The bibimbap here tastes really authentic and delicious! A great variety of food choices on the menu! A bit pricey but food's good! The reason why I didn't give it a 5 star is because I've had better Korean food before. However, since there are quite a limited number of Korean restaurants in Bristol, Surakhan is quite a nice Korean restaurant to visit if you're craving for some Korean food. I'm not Korean, so I obviously can't speak for the rest who might not agree with me. :
I dropped by this Korean restaurant in November this year by chance. The food taste superb especially chicken wings were speechless...might be best in the world. This restaurant awarded 'Best Asian Restaurant in Bristol'. The taste, the owner and staff's service explain why.....Will definitely come back soon....
My family and I went to the Surakhan on May 4 2015. After reading the website saying that it was a family run restaurant we were very happy find it was very modern and comfortable restaurant. We were new to Korean food so we played it safe with the set menu B. The meal was amazing and the service was fast for freash cooked food. We were very Happy and need to come back to try the BBQ menu. Thanks Surakhan I wish you a good future.
This is the first and authentic Korean restaurant in Bristol, the taste of every dish is excellent. Highly recommend for someone who are looking for a place to try new taste when traveling to Bristol, this restaurant is also very close to City Centre. I used Crispy Chicken wings with unique taste and Dolsot Bibimbap the mixture of rice and vegetable was very delicious and it would be an amazing experience for me when I was tried this food in the stone bowl for the first time. Love it Love it. Definitely come back!!
I've been here several times now and it's never let me down. Real authentic Korean food as I've only tasted before in Korea! Wonderful staff and and owner; always welcoming and warm. Would give it more stars if I could!
Had lunch here a couple of times on weekdays and been happy both times. Very friendly and considerate staff, good range of options and prices. Satisfyingly large, fresh, healthy-feeling meals. Importantly for working lunches they got the food out quickly, although I was only there with one other colleague so can't say how good they are with large groups. The venue is quite small so if you arrive towards the end of lunch you might be waiting around for a table. Definitely recommended
Nice place, stuff friendly, and good service. I haven't tried any other Korean before, but the food is tasty and healty. I believe that the set menu option is too much food, and this was a bit of a waste, but i really enjoyed it.
Had a birthday party here last week and we had table BBQ. All of our group loved it. It was fun and so delicious. We had various meats including squid BBQ and beef Bulgogi BBQ. They were so tender and so tasty. Highly recommend this place and especially table BBQ. Will come back!
