The sundowner is located just off the main road, opposite unity resort actually on the dunes. open all day, some times to 9. 30pm and later. a good selection of home made food available  ( hot and cold ) plus tea/coffee and soft drinks along with a good selection of beers. there is indoor and outdoor seating and a little football pitch plus a play area for the children. Dogs are permitted on the beach all year round.  A great place to start and finish your beach expedition. ps if you find this review helpful, please give it a 👍

Really enjoyed our food here although the choice I wanted was unavailable. In their defence, however, our visit was towards the end of the season. Good views, clean and welcoming. Friendly staff.

Miserable chef would not serve jacket potato unless ordered with steak. 2 stars given due to the lovely helpful serving staff. Need to be more accommodating with menu. Drove to the brean down inn 1 mile away superb meal. They were happy to take my money for 5 adult meals and a jacket potato which they cooked fresh even though they don't normally serve them and 4 rounds of drinks.

This is a good place and the staff are really friendly, I wish I could award it more stars but there are a couple of things that I wish they could change, 1 allow dogs inside and 2 swap food items on the menu. I ordered broccoli and cauliflower bake which was excellent! But I wanted chips instead of garlic bread and coleslaw instead of salad, I would have had to pay £4 more on top of the £8.25 the dish already cost. On a positive note I really enjoyed the Somersby Strawberry and rhubarb cider, non of the other bars sold this and I would highly recommend it, if you like fruit beers.
