I'd been seeing this place all over social media, so decided to give it a try. The famous pancake wasn't really for me. It was quite dense and sweet, more like a rice cake than a traditional pancake. The egg sandwich was decent but not particularly memorable.nnThe café was very busy, and although we got a table without a booking, there was a one-hour time limit. It also felt a little noisy.nnThe highlight was definitely the staff, who were friendly and helpful throughout. Overall, it was worth trying, but given the prices and the hype, it didn't quite meet expectations.
Nice local restaurant that I go frequently. Lunchtime is busy but gets quiet in the evening. The other day I came over for dinner on a Friday and enjoyed the rather silent atmosphere. I’d say people come here more for the vibe, pretty plating and drinks, but the food could benefit from some improvement.nThe pancake is an exception really delicious and huge.
I visited this restaurant recently and overall had a good experience, though I feel it might be a bit overhyped. I ordered the shakshuka and the Turkish eggs—both dishes were well prepared and tasted good, with nice flavors and decent portions. That said, while everything was enjoyable, it didn’t fully live up to the high expectations set by the hype. Still, it’s a pleasant spot with solid food and worth trying if you’re in the area.
We had our wedding reception at Sunday in Brooklyn last month and we were so pleased and happy with everything they had done for us. We had constant communication throughout the time of planning thank you again Mya for all of your hard work!. The food was amazing and we had so many guests tell us how much they enjoyed the meal. We had a couple of guests with nut allergies and one guest who was a vegan and they were great for accommodating this. The drinks were great and the vibes were perfect for what we wanted! We’re so happy we chose Sunday in Brooklyn and we would choose them a million times over. Thank you for making our day so special!
Came for the famous pancakes - and they are indeed incredible! Didn’t know what to expect from the hazelnut maple praline, but it was soooo good, a perfect balance of sweet and salt. The pancake isn’t fluffy, but it’s really good, and a simple one is enough to share. Unfortunately the savory dishes were a bit disappointing. We had the smash burger, which was ok, but definitely not worth the price, and wanted to try the pita, but it wasn’t available during the day anymore even though the website said they were. We had the cilbir eggs with yogurt and tomato compote and it was tasteful, a good pick, but it wasn’t a lot of food.
