My grandma Jean was admitted to Waverley Unit first floor after a few days her needs changed, this was recognised by A.N Deputy Manager and kindly arranged with the manager for her to be transferred to Mayflower Unit which was more suited to her needs. Jean settled very well on Mayflower Unit, sadly her general condition deteriorated very quickly as expected due to her diagnosis. ALL staff each played a part in making sure she was happy, comfortable and that her needs were met. Reception/admin staff always greeted with a smile and asked each time how she was, they were very helpful and supported the family. The staff on Mayflower were warm, kind, respectful and cared from their hearts, it was clear they genuinely wanted the best for her. During the end stages of her life it was very emotional and family were staying for long periods of time, we were offered refreshments, emotional support, always checked with us our wishes for Jean and kept us updated on their plans or any further changes to her condition. Jean passed away peacefully. Thank you Summerlane.
My mother has been in their care since May and I can honestly hand on heart say how wonderful all the Staff are. All very caring, smiling and wonderful with the residents and well as their visitors. I receive contact updates on how she's doing and yet I visit 3 times a week. If I could give them a score out of 10 it would be 11 and higher. Manager and Reception staff are very helpful and lovely too.
I could not believe our luck when we first walked into Summer Lane Care Home, it's like a posh hotel. The dementia wing is decorated to stimulate memories in the residents. Thank you to all the Summer Lane staff for the care and attention given to my husband while he was in your care, as well as always making sure I was ok too. Anne
Awful place. Family member had multiple injuries whilst in the home and had contract cancelled because they wanted more funding. Avoid sending g your loves ones there.
Very very poor home, unable to correctly care. Show absolutely no compassion towards relatives and lie to cover their backs. Unable to face truths and admit mistakes were made by taking away someone’s call bell. Left a relative in urine saturated bedding and tried to advise it was squash!! Funny smelling squash!!
