Been coming here for a couple years now, but no more. Nice place and nice staff but the food has gotten way below what it used to be. Started off maybe 6 months ago or so, the sauces with papadoms changed taste, lost viscosity, like they mixed it with water for more volume. Recently got myself a chicken Nepali, used to be thick, creamy sauce with bits of garlic and herbs in it, proper delicious. What I got last time was a few pieces of chicken floating in liquidish gooey paste, not a sign of garlic or herb in place didn't even taste like it used to. Truly disappointed, was such a great place before...
Be careful when opening takeaway from here. I didn't notice that the curry had leaked and got onto the bottom of one of the containers. the bottom curry leaked through the lid and got onto the bottom of the one stacked ontop of it I now have a lovely bright yellow turmeric stain on my coffee table. The food was okay. I probably won't order again. The paneer was a little tasteless and the vegesamosa was just a frozen one. The onion baji were nice and so was the daal. The poppadoms and naan were okay but nothing to shout home about. Delivery was quick. And it was nice that they have thali on the menu, it's just a shame the food isn't nicer.
One of the best take aways we have had. Super fresh. Super tasty. Just wow. We got three mixed starters. They offer differant versions of starters. One curry a rice and a naan. Easily fed 3 of us. Highly recommended
Excellent food, good portions, good price, pleasant staff. All in all a very good place that I'll be coming back to.Food: 5/5
Ordered for pick up, young girl who took the order didn’t seem to grasp the concept the idea of a ‘lamb’ tikka masala despite telling her a number of times. She also had no idea what a dupiaza was and had to go and ask another staff member what it was. When I collected my order and double checked that my tikka masala was lamb, which they confirmed was correct. Got the food home and found out my tikka masala was intact ‘chicken’. Both meals appeared watery. Not what I expected, sadly.
Good local Bangladeshi style Indian with some interesting variations on the menu; I like the fish dishes.
First time ordering and the food was late. We called for an update and could hear it was extremely busy in the background. Food arrived maybe 30 - 40 mins late and was a little on the lukewarm side but we placed the trays and the bread in a preheated oven whilst we ate our poppadoms. Problem solved. The food was overall perfectly cooked. The meat tender, the onion bhaji moist and the curry sauce didn't have any oil sitting on top like some places. Other than the staffing issue which is obviously causing delays judging by our experience and reading some of the other reviews, I'd say the food is executed very well. In fact, probably one of the best Indian meals I have had yet. Therefore I will be returning despite the late arrival of the food and would highly recommend. I will hope that next time the food is on time but my daughter and I thought it was well worth the wait. Thank you :
Called I after work for a takeaway,as its in the next street but decided to dine in , have to say the chicken tikka starter was melt in the mouth .the food and service is second to none ..will definitely be back
Quiet night but it was the night of the England game so to be expected. Lovely food as always with first class serviceFood: 5/5
Think the chef may have changed. I loved the food here, not been for a while gave them another chance tonight, abysmal indian food, great big unpeeled tomatoes in my dish ??? My husbands sauce tasted exactly the same as mine , two different dishes???? Will not go back unfortunately, really gone downhill!!
