Sugoi JPN
"Sugoi JPN in Shoredicth is inspired by Piss Alley street food market in Tokyo & Latin American’s street food stalls. We have taken fusion from Latin and Japanese influences, traditions, cultures and flavours and have created noritacos - from Nori and Tacos. Our noritacos include a crispy seaweed tempura shell with sushi rice, as well as Japanese Latin fusion fillings. It’s no sushi and it’s not a taco, it’s a Sugoi. Noritacos - 100% fresh and fun. We offer a delivery service and takeaway kitchen at East London and you can order online, via Deliveroo.Awards:Best takeaway chef in BritainBest takeaway East LondonGood Food Awards"

First visit to Shoreditch Box Park. You will be asked at the stairs if you have downloaded the black membership card, we hadn't but they still let us up. Great selection of food places, simply order via the QR, you'll need to collect. I found the dishes average, not at all value for money. The portion was small, I enquired about the meal deal and was told it was much smaller, I orderee the tropical noritaco £9.99 and octopus balls which you get 4 for £6.99. Good concept to try once!
Sugoi is one of my go-to places to deliver food from whenever I have a sushi craving. The concept of a sushi taco is something I’ve never come across before but it works so well. It can be a bit messy to eat but that comes with the territory. The food is always so delicious and the flavours are spot on. I would 100% recommend Sugoi JPN to anyone who loves sushi and wants to try something new.
Located in box park, this restaurant sells Japanese and Latin fusion food. Each of us ordered a set with narotaco, tacoyaki and soft drinks. We were a bit disappointed with the tacoyaki as the skin is not crispy enough and the fillings are not much. The drinks are not ordinary soft drinks which are not up to our preference. Yet the narotaco is surprisingly good - the combination is match with rich flavor. We recommend the katsu one.
Who want to try Latin Japanese Street Food?‍ On my last reel on Instagram @ccgyozalover, I was so lucky to be invited by @sugoijpn for their opening of the first customer facing store @boxpark in Shoreditch. So SUGOI!!! @sugoijpn put @japanified.uk @kawaiibowl.uk & @arepitasliders together in the store and so I could taste all their famous dishes in one go. Diablo @sugoijpn This is the famous Noritaco which is a seaweed tempura shell with a Japanese Latin fusion filling included chicken Karaage, mixed salad and sushi rice. The chicken Karaage was spiced up with the ingredients. It’s a beautiful creation between sushi and taco. Unique and tasteful Soft Shell Crab Burger @japanified.uk Brioche bun with soft shell crab tempura. I usually ate soft shell crab tempura on its own or as Maki. Surprisingly it went perfectly with the bun. Crispy and tasty Tequenos @arepitasliders Tequeno, a fried breaded cheese stick, is a popular snack in Colombia & Venezuela. The soft cheese inside was so rich and it’s a wonderful snack for beer and wine Every cheese lover should try it Tuna & Salmon Bowl @kawaiibowl.uk Sushi rice topped with soy marinated tuna & salmon mixed with pico de gallo tomatoes, red onion, coriander and lemon. The tuna and salmon were so fresh and beautifully mixed with all the ingredients. Very refreshing and flavourful. Love it
The idea of Japanese Latin fusion is great but the execution is not as great imo. The food was average in taste, the noritacos were mostly rice and there was no value for money. I got 2 noritacos and a drink for £15 - the drink was amazing btw, idk what it is about Latin American soft drinks but they're actually the best, 5/5, tastes like actual apples. The food itself, I got Chingon, which was my fave cause I loveee Pico de Gallo and the kimchi sauce just added to it, and Rumba, which was too sweet for my liking. My friend got the veggie gyozas which is just your standard gyoza with a bunch of sauce on it, which was a nice touch. Overall, I don't think I would go again, maybe to try the wagyu burger, but it was nice to have the experience. So defo recommend for the experience but only if you have disposable income, otherwise, just go somewhere more affordable. Also it was my first time at Boxpark and why it gotta be so loud Vegetarian options: Had one veggie/vegan option in the noritacos section.
Never tried anything like it and don't know why no one else has ever done this! Put a big smile on my face and left an amazing lingering taste. Will definitely go back when in the area and highly recommend to all.
Although in a nondescript building, that only has a white desk outside the entrance for an Indian restaurant.. I did not regret one bit in waiting a few minutes outside for the chef to present me with my “Latin-Japanese” Tacos, once I had taken a bite! It’s takeaway only, and the chef makes his delicious food from a club kitchen. Ordering on the Sugoi App was simple and easy there’s even a 1/2 price first order discount too, so don’t miss out. I had the Tropical, Katsu and Soft Shell Crab Instead of a normal taco shell, it is a piece of crunchy nori seaweed. All super delicious. Nothing more needs to be said, apart from you should give them a try. Good points: Food is quick about 15mins from order on app to pickup. Food is delicious! Bad points: A little difficult to find, you might even walk past it, but a sign for Sugio JPN on the wall is your marker. Or just look for the white desk on the pavement outside a doorway at 97-113. At £9 per taco at the normal price, is a little expensive.
Food & drink: 8/10 Service: 8/10 Decor & atmosphere: N/A Service speed: 7/10 Cost: 7/10 The best: An amazing idea with top quality food and service The worst: A bit confusing on the ordering see below Lowdown: so....dont go to the location on google...go the Old Street, Renegade or Mother Kelly's. With old street and mother Kelly's you can order through the staff and the friendly staff at Sugoi will deliver the food to you at the bar! It's a nifty idea which works well... You cant go wrong with anything on the menu, it's all tasty and each taco is different. The Yuka fries are a nice touch too!
Food is good not crazy - island poke does a much better poke bowl if I am honest - service is dreadful. Today we waited 20 min to get our box, and it wasn’t even busy only us 2 customers!!. Deliveries are priorities apparently. When challenged as to why 20min were required to prep the food, we were told that there was only one person on site doing the service and cooking, then we were told very rudely to get our food and leave. The guy even told us we were bad customers as we did dare challenging him about the delay! Thanks Sugoi but you’ll never see us again, there are much nicer people willing to serve us more quickly in box park shoreditch!
If you want to try a total New experience and flavors Notitacos is your thing, great combination of flavors and textures, every bite is like a explosion in your mouth very recommend
