A 3,500-square-foot basement night club in Glasgow. Founded April 1st 1987. We also run a record label - Nautilus Rising, a festival - Sub Club SoundSystem and cultural events under the Sub Hub banner.

Story

Now in our 30th year. Sub Club is a 3500 square foot basement at 22 Jamaica Street, Glasgow. We also run a record label (Nautilus Rising), festival (Sub Club SoundSystem) and a cultural event programme (Sub Hub).

Female bouncer refused us entry at 12pm both completely sober . Followed to let a number of people in without checking . Poor doormanship won’t recommend to anyone to travel down for sub club again get some new staff
Had a really mixed experience with the staff here. Some were friendly but some staff was incredibly rude for no reason. One of the bouncers was really unfriendly and the staff at the cloakroom was just horrible too. The bar staff is lovely though. The venue and music are good but due to the fact of how rude some of the people working here were, I don’t think I’d go again.
good music and nice atmosphere , evrey drink 4.5 pounds . the entrance is tricky sometime they let you in sometimes notService: 5/5
Subclub used to be a good spot where you wouldn't be subject to scrutiny. The venue itself is lovely, but the staff are terrible mainly the people working the door One person in particular, a female bouncer feels the need to be on a power trip and knock back people who are clearly 100% sober. Three separate occasions, I as well as other pals have not been let in for being "too drunk" even after shelling out 15£ for tickets. If you even think about having anything before you go, consider yourself not getting in.
Really unhelpful if you’ve lost your ticket for the cloak room. The moustache man working there last night was not listening to me when I was describing it and shoved my head with his fingers when I was dipping to see if I could spot my jacket hanging up. It’s really put me off coming here again!Service: 1/5
Probably the best place in Glasgow for weekly house and techno music. Bouncers are super friendly and helpful. Single problem is the drinks are on the pricey end for Glasgow clubsFood: 4/5
An institution within Glasgow's and Scotland's night life ! The sound system is good, the drinks are cheap but the real treat comes from the people. I never experienced a bad night at sub club, and I'm always thrilled to get there every time I hit Glasgow !Atmosphere: 5/5

Got turned as we were dressed “too nice” for my mates 21st came all the way from newcastle to get turned away. If you want to get in don’t come in a shirt and trousers cause they only accept scruffs.Food: 1/5
Best club in the UK. Subculture is without doubt the best house night you will ever experience. Drinks are great, sound system is immense and staff are all good.
