The restaurant is well presented and the general staff were polite and friendly. We were in a party of 17,so service is always tricky for a table of that size, but the service staff were very good. The meal arrived quickly. My Wife and I had a shared Antipasti as a starter,and I had seafood linguini as a main, both of which were excellent. My wife had chicken for her main, which was just a little tough, and a very small portion, comprising of a slice of breast with 3 small salad potatoes and a handful of salad. By the time we had some drinksnot many on the table, and service added, the bill came to nearly £40/head, which I feel is a bit overpriced since we felt like stopping for chips on the way home! Seeing as this is part if a large chain, I felt that we did not get value for money, so we probably would not visit again.
I really like this restaurant and have been in excess of 15 times so will try my best to give an unbiased review. The location sits on a busy but quiet one way street in the heart of Henley, just off the main high street. It has both outdoor seating and a wide range of tables inside. The lighting is good and all parts of the room are well lit. Moving onto the food, the menu is based more on pizza and pasta but also has a good choice of salads and other dishes such as risottos' or steak. It is also changed about 2-3 times a year, I haven't figured out the routine yet. The prices are mid-range with a salad averaging £10 and a 6oz rump steak being around £13 depending on the sauces chosen. The downside is that the waiters sometimes have very strong accents that are difficult to understand and their training in customer service is poor. They often interrupt you mid-conversation to ask about how your meal is, which can get irritating, and when there is a problem they are unable to handle it. I think an increase in training will benefit them hugely. This is the only reason I have dropped a star and if I see improvement then I will come back and edit. Overall, out of all the times I have been I have only ever once had a bad experience and even then, the manager refunded the entire meal! I highly recommend this place and will continue coming back.
Wonderful service last night at Strada Henley. We ordered 2 pizzas in a hurry and, before they were ready had to leave to see a film next door. The Manager offered for us to come back later after the restaurant was closed and collect our pizzas which were then freshly cooked to take-a way at 10.10 pm. Such nice people, so much appreciated.
Disgraceful customer service and made to pay full bill! We ordered two meals - to be fair to the staff one of these was a starter but we did order a side of fries. The starter and fries turned up, but nothing else. We questioned this and where told it was on its way. Over 15 minutes later no food and after 2 visits from our server, we are told the food is just bring prepared. As we where in a rush we cancelled the food and I went and got a toasted sandwich from Cafe Nero. When the bill came they had even charged for my lime and soda. Very disappointed.
Was visiting family over the Easter weekend, and Strada is always our go to venue. As always David and his staff were very hospital and made us feel very welcome. The food was delicious and we are never disappointed. I guess that's why we never have to think about where to go en masse. Thank you, another enjoyable stay in Henley was had by all.
Food was good. But unfortunately service was not up to par, she poured my coke flat, gave us dirty glasses and was very slow at order taking and we had to say our order several times. Although this was a bad experience, I beleive it was only down to 1 member of staff.
I have eaten here on many occasions, staffing and service or lack of sometimes is annoyingly slow. Food is good. Although the antipasti board has been cut back on unlike the price of it. Pizza is great and priced accordingly the beer is slightly over priced.
We eat here before going to the Cinema. Have never had a problem with time as we need to order and eat to a tight deadline. Food is consistent and well cooked , prices are very reasonable and service friendly .
Fantastic pizza and the staff were fantastic. We had the misfortune of sitting beside a man being verbally abusive to his partner, the manager came over and dealt with the situation professionally and arranged for us to move table.
Burger over cooked and burnt in places, served in a cold bun with a small tepid portion of chips. Penne pomodoro, looked like it had been put on the plate from a container and microwaved, not heated through properly. Fortunately there are plenty of other places to eat in Henley.
