It was my second time visiting this restaurant. It was great the first time but was even better the second time. The service was fast and friendly, the food was hot, fresh and full of flavour and the overall dining experience was fantastic. Its a modern, cosy and affordable Italian restaurant sat right by the riverside, a really lovely location. Only negative from me is they added on service charge, but it wasn't too much so I wasn't too fussed. Overall a brilliant restaurant and one that I would highly recommend.
Fantastic service and food quality. We were in London to see the Lion King at the Lyceum, but we were out and about passing time until the start of the show and did the usual touristy stuff. We found ourselves at Southbank at around 6pm with the show starting at 7.30pm. Ideally, we needed to be on the Tube for 6.45pm. We were seated promptly even though we didn’t have a booking, and our order was placed quickly. We both ordered steak after seeing another diner having one, and it looked good. Less than 10 minutes later, the steaks were on our table, cooked perfectly! Everything was beautifully seasoned and nothing was left. We were even left with a card so we could pay at our leisure and leave without needing to wait for a server. This suited us very nicely and we actually made the Tube for 6.45pm. Strada clearly take pride in customer satisfaction and I wouldn’t hesitate to return if I find myself in Southbank again.
We very much enjoyed the flat breads, salads and pasta selections that are available here. Service was outstanding and very helpful with helping us decide on some dishes we had questions on. The view of the river walk was very pleasing, we enjoyed the view while we ate our dinner before joining in on the stroll ourselves.
As nearly all the stradas have closed down, this one is the only one left i think. From the outside the restaurant looks lovely, calm and quiet but when you walk in, you are welcomed with a full house. It's loud and can be compact. When we walked in, we were instantly seated. The tables were absolutely tiny and the chairs were wobbly. It was so loud that I couldn't even hear my husband when he was talking. The food arrived suspiciously fast. They purposely brought the starter and main together. How are we suppose to fit starter and main on the tiny table?? On top of that, the waiter completely forgot to bring the rest of the mains & side that we ordered. We were left very disappointed and annoyed. The waiter acted very foolish and didn't even acknowledge instead asked us if everything arrived being under the impression more food was to come. We weren't happy with the service at all. The food was tasty but not sure if it was fresh as it did arrive super fast. Not sure if I would come back. Definitely not with such horrible service and then the food.. Don't know how fresh the food really is.
Nice food, friendly and efficient staff. The truffle fries are really nice and the sticky toffee pudding is a must The burger bun was a little dry, but I'm not fond of toasted buns, so it may have been just my prference. The rest of the Strada burger was really good, as was my wife's Chicken Pasta Milanese A shade over £60. For the two of us, including drinks.
I went twice to the Strada Restaurant. First I thought it's a typical touristic trap, but it is definitely not. The service is very polite and do it's best that you enjoy your stay. If the size of the group is >6 and you like to reserve a table outside, there are some difficulties. So you should more keep im mind, that you get a table, when it's free and upon arrive. With a big group we had no problems to sit inside, but air-condition is pretty cold - as somehow usual in London. Now ... let's go to the most important point .. the food. :- We had the antipasti as a starter. In small and big size. From mozzarella cheese , olives, parma ham, salami and very garlish tomatoes. I really liked it. The only think I would do better is to serve warm Bruschetta and not cold... it really has impact to taste and consistency. The pasta bolognese was very tasty and with the fresh parmesan, it was even better. Pasta was good anyway. The pizza was cross, tasty and had good ingredients. The price was okay and the taste was really good. All our friends were surprised.
Atmospheric indoor and outdoor seating, nice variety on the menu. The food here is fairly priced and decent quality although the tiramisu was over dusted with cocoa. The staff are polite and friendly and service was quick. Nice place to go before seeing a show on the southbank. They do NHS discount and often have good offers. You can pay with a qr code at the table and you don’t feel rushed out of the place. It’s the type of place that doesn’t stand out of the crowd but is always reliable.
It's a nice restaurant with nice staff which take care of you. We've order cotto ham and funghi. I knew that in their old menu they had aubergine but it's not in their current menu. I asked for it and they added that. The outdoor section was nice. The price is reasonable. They also have toilet which was clean. Nice location and overall experience was good.
We found this wonderful place in the Royal Festival Hall, just by the river walking with my friend last week. Had a yummy light lunch and I decided to take my kids here too. So much I loved it Only a five minute walk from Waterloo Station and I am back! Kids enjoyed kids menu too. All fresh, good sized portions, reasonable prices, nice location by the river, sun and people strolling ‍ by. Here You definitely will enjoy both with friends and family, with children and by Your own. Special thanks to the stuff: Jack and young lady who found pen to my boys enjoying activity sheets
Relatively bland, basic and boring food. It was cooked well and the portion sizes were fair. But all in all, nothing amazing.
