First time here for a carvery. Would have given 5 stars for the food but one of our party said the beef was chewy! I'm a vegetarian and all the veg was delicious. Special mention to Tanya our who was very pleasant and helpfulFood: 4/5
Had a fantastic meal as always and bar service from Tanya was friendly and polite.Food: 5/5
The battered halloumi was nice. Lovely and spacious pub for meeting up with friends. The staff were really friendly but I felt sorry for them having to clean up after other people’s kids! Food all over the floor just left for the staff to clean up!Food: 4/5
Well done to all the waiting and kitchen staff for their excellent service. Ordered two ultimate mix grills one with peppercorn sauce which I can honestly say were the best we have eaten in a long time. Food arrived piping hot everything on the plate was quality food and well presented but I was very impressed with the chicken it was so juicy and made the meal. A very enjoyable experience one which I will return to when im back in the area.
We’ve been served by Tanya, such a lovely lady, very helpful and nice. Delicious Sunday roast dinner xFood: 5/5
Went for a lunch date with a friend, we got a soft drink each and shared the 3 small plate selection. More than enough food for 2, quite tasty we both enjoyed our lunch. Staff were friendly and pub was clean and welcoming Kid-friendliness: Kids were there Wheelchair accessibility: Minimal areas with stairs
Came to the Storybook to celebrate a family birthday, but we're let down to say the least by the meals served up. I ordered the "Ultimate fish and chips" and it came with two pieces of the thinnest fish that I have seen in my life. It was overdone, so much that I picked one piece up at the end and it held up without breaking. Fish was also dried up completely. We also ordered the ultimate mixed grill, where the sausages were dried up and tough to chew, the steak was ordered as medium rare and I have seen less well done cremations. Oh yes, and the chicken breast was also burnt. The chips that came with this delight were cold as the plates touched down. Suffice to say the birthday was ruined, the server asked if we wanted desserts and upon complaining about the quality of the meals, she merely said sorry about that and left. Safe to say I will not be returning to the Storybook Edit: Manager asked me to get in touch to discuss it further but that was just lip service to make people reading the reviews think they care. They didn't even reply to the email sent in.
Went for a carvery with my son and the food was absolutely delicious. I'd like to say a big thank you to Tanya and Sharon who were very helpful and lovely. Just like pink custard!!!Food: 5/5
Long queue for the carvery but worth the wait, some customers taking more than they would eat I did leave a tiny bit as the food was so filling. I will go again how ever I'll pass on the pigs in blankets, Kid-friendliness: Kids play area inside Wheelchair accessibility: Large double door entrance and all ground floor
Tanya was lovely when serving our food and made a fuss over my toddler. She was very friendly. Sarah behind the bar was also a delight and recommended some options on offers they had available. The chef even came out to see me to check the burger was with regular cheese and not vegan. Fantastic place.
