This is a proper north-east pub - large drinking area, two dart boards and a beer garden. 1 pint of Stella + 1 bottle of prosecco = £8. Great visit.
Nice pub, couldn't fault staff they are lovely. BUT be aware when paying with your bank card as went in for one quick drink on 26th Sept and next day noticed payment for 5 drinks was taken out of my account. Spoke to manager popped in and showed my online banking. Said he would sort it but hasn't. Even barman that served me verified i had one drink and left after 30 mins. Still not rectified still no phone call back from manager

One of the better pubs on the colliery
Great pub in a brilliant location at the heart of boldon colliery with plenty of character and atmosphere from the locals, it has got plenty of options behind the bar and good selection of bar snacks. We had a great afternoon in the beer garden. We Couldn't fault the service even though you had to order over an app which wasn't any hassle and easy to use or you could use cash just had to get your hands on the member of staff who was doing the cash sales, if anything it made it easier to get served so no complaints from us and the table service took the hassle of going to the bar. My John smiths was so smooth and the Mrs said her drink was lovely, we will definitely be calling in again hopefully next time they'll have a bbq or something on with the weather getting better, looking forward to going back.

Lovely friendly pub a decent pint and good bands what more could you ask for
It was busy and drinks cheap. One of the bar maids the tall blonde one didn't serve us when we were at the bar , only one there, and then2 lads walked in and she ignored us and served them. We let it go and got served by the other barmaid who was lovely
