I don’t get it. Where are the reviews? This place is amazing. Great selection. Had a phenomenal drink deal on a Friday. Wonderful cozy place with plenty of comfy seating. Been bouncing around to bars during our stay, and this place puts everything else to shame. Bartender was super friendly too.
I went to celebrate my niece's engagement party on an icy Saturday in January. I travelled some distance with my 2 children and husband to attend this private party. We arrived at 7.15pm and I went to the bar with my 2 children aged 8&10 to purchase drinks whilst my husband parked the car. The younger bar staff member was friendly to both me and the children. There was another older woman behind the bar. My husband went to the bar at 8.57pm. He ordered drinks for himself and the children. He was told by the older woman behind the bar, after he had paid, that children had to be out by 9pm and it was 8.57 so he had 3 minutes. My husband came back to where I was sitting and informed me. He then went off to tell my other niece, who also had a 6 year old child. The woman from the bar came over to where I was sat with my 2 well behaved children and my great-niece, whilst we were all eating. She asked me rudely if these were my children. I replied, yes, these are my children. She told me that they had to be out at 9 and it was gone 9. I asked her why she hadn't told me that at the bar earlier when she saw me with my children. She retorted that she didn't invite me and no children are allowed in the bar except for private parties but only until 9pm. I asked if I could speak to the manager and she said she was the owner and that she wanted us out. I was appalled by her attitude and behaviour. It completely spoilt the night. I would never set foot in there again. My children were exceptionally behaved so she didn't even have that as a comeback. My advice is don't book family parties here. If you expect good customer service don't enter. Very expensive drink prices - I suspect were hiked up for the party. Stilted atmosphere.
Really nice bar, very clean and modern. We went in quite early on a Saturday evening and it was pretty quiet but it was filling up nicely by 9:30. Pleasant staff and a good selection of drinks. Pretty cool bar.
