Store First came into being using money scammed from many people with pension funds. I am one of them.

I was contacted by a representative from a scam company called Jackson Francis. He said my money would be invested in a SIPPS scheme, funding Store First guaranteeing a return of 8% in two years, which hasn’t happened.

What he didn’t mention was this scheme would be administered by a company called Berkeley Burke, who charge extortionate fees.

I asked him if I could come out of this SIPP if it didn’t perform, he said yes. I wanted to come out two years ago, but was told my pod would have to go to auction at a cost of £2000, payable whether or not the pod sold.

There is a clause in the policy that Store First would offer to buy back the pod after five years. I contacted Berkeley Burke as I wanted this to happen, but was told Store First would take up to five years to decide if they wanted to buy back.

My pod has been empty for long periods and not earning any money for my pension, but Berkeley Burke are still taking extortionate fees from my pension fund, eroding it drastically.

The Government has issued a winding up order for Store First, and the Serious Fraud Squad are investigating this scam.

Anyone who happens to have things stored in these pods, be prepared to have to move out.
