Very old fashioned, however nice detailed & character to the building. Bar man was too grumpy for my liking, he needs to get a job that he likes. Nice big rooms for events Small stage. Reasonably sized car park always plan B though!
Held our wedding here. Communication between myself and the manager was brilliant. Any silly questions I had he answered. The building inside was gorgeous. Would recommend holding events here. The bar staff were amazing too
Lovely venue. Perfect as a wedding venue. It has different areas for guests to enjoy, noisy Disco areas, quieter areas to sit and chat with friends, and a Bar area. Lots of scope to find somewhere perfect for your needs. Catering was superb. Our wedding experience as the Guild Hall was brilliant and would highly recommend it's useage.
On first look the place is unique, historic and looks great. The building is actually in need of some serious renovation. A good place for small meetings although some rooms can be quite on the uncomfortably warm side. A huge plus is the free parking for certain events and cheap parking for everyday. Great facilities for disabled with good access throughout and well cleaned toilet/changing room.
Beautiful looking building dating back to 1868. Been to several events here over the years, most recently the Stockport Beer Festival. Several different size rooms so ideal for events or functions.
We booked a meeting room at Stockport Guildhall for 20 people. The whole booking process was really simple and they accommodated all of our requirements. The issue was, they didn’t inform us that the building is completely wrapped in scaffolding and the main entrance was not accessible. We had to end via a back door. The meeting room itself is very dated. Refreshments included an urn, some cheap Nescafé sachets and uht milk. We paid £4 per person for fresh cakes and we were provided two homemade cakes. It was all very old fashioned. That being said, there was a screen, flipchart etc so the meeting itself was fine. It was more akin to a church or community hall rather than a modern conference facility. Cheap and cheerful I’d say.

Pinked Floyd have now performed at the Masonic Guildhall on 4 occasions - each show getting bigger and better each time! It's a quality place to play and in a great location with very helpful support staff. The atmosphere at the 2021 Xmas show was simply incredible - thanks and we'll see you next time!
Went to an alternative market here. Great venue, loads of parking and also a lift which is great for disabled people. The market was brilliant and the venue was really good.
