Almost 1hour to pick a simple call for my renovation.

I visited the local heritage library (situated on the second floor of Stockport Central Library) to research my great, great grandparents.  The building is easily accessible and there are lifts available.

The staff were extremely helpful, assisting me to find old newspapers on microfiche and show me how to work the machine used to read them.

I was able to request some copies of newspaper entries to be made, which they do for an extremely reasonable fee.  I collected them a couple of days later, but they will post them out to you too.

My only regret was that I didn't have enough time to explore all the available resources.  I am sure there is much more of my family history to find so I am planning a return visit in the not too distant future.

Disabled access is available. 
The staff are extremely helpful.

I love to visit the library for myself and with my children. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Its clean and well looked after.
