Brilliant place that's not in the usual Loanhead mold. That's not a criticism for any other pubs in town though. Friendly staff and good choice of beer including East Coast IPA which is grand. I've not had food yet but fully intend to as I would gladly order just about everything from the menu!

Had a lovely lunch and a few cocktails service was good. The young girl was do friendly. Only downside was the kitchen air vents need to be to be on full power. Otherwise a good time had. X

This is the second time I have visited this venue, sadly it will be the last. We went on Saturday night for drinks after a meal elsewhere. We did consider Stewarts for our meal but the menu is extremely limited and had exactly the same offerings as in December. Drinks prices are very expensive, which we already knew but were happy to pay for an upmarket establishment. However, exactly same bad experience as previously - had to sit at an unwiped table and our glasses were not collected by staff once despite the pub being very quiet. The ladies toilets are still a disgrace, one of only two cubicles does not have a lock and the decor looks like a child has painted it. Pieces of plaster are missing. Still in the same shocking state as when we went when it first opened. This place will not last long - customers will not pay high prices for dreadful service and shabby decor.

Really enjoyed dinner. Small, local restaurant. Quality food and worthy of a repeat visit for sure. I'm hard to please but was very satisfied.

In for yet anothet Visit with my sister and Nephew. Miss the Penicuik one but the service and nosh was excellent as always.
