Not good at all. I got a key copied. When I got home the copy did not work. It would turn one way but not the other and was worryingly stiff. So I took it back. He worked it some more and I took it back home. Then it would not even go in the slot. It went abouut 1/3 of the way in. I was not going to force it in or it may not have come out. By now the shop was closed. I compared the key with the original and there are obvious differences. The new key is thinner for a start. Then the profiles are visibly different. On the bad key one part is slightly ramped and at an angle to the body of the key whereas the original equivalent part is flat and straight. The body of the key is about a mm thinner than the original too; no doubt cheaper to produce. Also the plating is coming off and there were burrs on the edges. The original key is solid all through and has no plating. I used some emery paper to smooth it out and now it works but is sticky and does not inspire confidence. I spend a lot of time in Cambridge so I should have got Dents to make one. This one goes in the bin and I'll get one from Dents. Maybe more expensive but they will not be using cheap Chinese keys - I paid 4.15 pounds for a key that does not work.
