Absolutely outstanding from A&E through a 5-day hospital stay. How the staff maintain such professionalism, attention to detail and compassion in the incessant wave of patients is unbelievable. The process, the thoroughness, is wonderful to behold. The food was outstanding too. They should win awards for their soup.nI thought I was healthy and now need to up my game. The clear pressure for staff were certain ungrateful patients. Well done and thank you so much for your care and attention
Generally care is good and it would be a 4 star review based solely on the clinical care received as I have been through a good number of departments with no complaints except... Parking. No point building a new out patient building if the car parks can't handle current capacity. Just sending letters out telling people to get there early or try the bus isn't enough. The parking spaces they have are too narrow for a modern car if you can even manage to get a space.
I have recently been to A&E. The care I received was excellent, from registering to discharge. All of the staff Drs, nurses of all grades, support assistants, CT scan staff and reception were efficient, thorough, respectful, kind and friendly. My daughter and I honestly believe that I could not have received better care anywhere else. The department was very busy and staff still kept all of the above qualities. Many thanks to all who cared for me.
They smashed it!!!nnI took my son for an appointment at Fracture clinic A.nnWe arrived 10 mins early and they were waiting for us. They sent us to X-ray, where I was expecting a long wait. Nope, seen straight away. We then went back to our appointment and the Doctor seen us almost immediately. They were really pleased with the results after surgery and asked us to see the physio. We thought that would be another long wait. Nope. We were seen again almost immediately.nnThe whole process, which I thought would take at least four hours of waiting was all done in 40 minutes. I couldn't believe it.nnThank you.. he's doing well and on a full recovery
I was a day patient on D6 ward for a minor operation and can’t thank all the staff enough for their care. Having trained as a nurse over 45 years ago I have become very despondent about how sloppy some modern nursing has become, however this is definitely not the case at Stepping hill as the nursing care was very professional, efficient and all done with a friendly smile. The hospital feels well managed as soon as you enter it, yes they are having a lot of building work done which is naturally disrupting, but as a patient I felt everything was being done to reduce this.nStepping hill has renewed my confidence in the NHS, I felt cared for and completely safe in the hands of true professionals, from the consultant to the person who brought me drinks and toast post op. This is an example of what good looks like.
