Caught the 09:00 ferry to Dublin. The check in process was smooth and efficient. There's a little cafe before you check in, but very little after that. It doesn't matter too much, because very quickly we were escorted onto a shuttle bus that takes you to the ferry, a five minute drive away. The facilities on the ferry were first class. All of the public areas were spotless, warm, and comfortable. The restaurant is open immediately, even before you set sail, with a great selection of breakfast items and hot drinks. Watch out on the return trip, I got caught out. They stopped serving food at 16:15. It was my fault, I didn't hear the announcement. With a duty free one day trip, it cost me £12 to go to Dublin and back in a day. You can't beat that.
Always impressed by Stenna Line, travel two or three times a year for work to Ireland. Look forward to cooked breakfast to take to cabin on boardnIt took me years before I realised cabins were available but make such a difference if you have a days work to do on arrival or if travelling ba k at night tired
Happy with Stena Line, had consistently good experiences travelling with them on this route. Staff are amazing, helpful and cheerful, always with a smile. Beautiful facilities on the ship. Took a cabin for the first time this trip and were impressed how roomy and comfortable it was. Main pleasant surprise that it was air-conditioned, coming in from 30° heat outside. Had a wonderful, if short, sleep in the comfortable bunk, and wished the crossing was longer! Lovely duty-free shop. Restaurant gets very busy in summer crossings.
Great experience taking Stena line to and fro Dublin from Holyhead. Drive in boarding was smooth and on time. Decks and passenger areas were clean, spacious and comfortable.nIt was a very nice experience and o look forward to another round-trip very soon
We sailed from Holyhead to Dublin.nCouldn’t complain at all.nThe staff were lovely.nThe cabin was clean and warm.nAlso, the mattress and all the bedding was super soft, so had a great 3 hour kip
