Absolutely massive place for a large group, however as its apartments you can hear everyone else as its an old building. It's also on a busy main road with no double glazing so it's very noisy.nThe beds were awful, after a week we are all exhausted and didn't sleep well.nWe weren't allowed to use the log burners, the conservatory was freezing so didn't use it plus there was a leak. The furniture is very worn and the sofas sink when you sit on them. The kitchen fan is industrial and really loud. Basically it's an old building, was a hotel so it's not cosy or comfortable.nI felt the need to leave an honest review because I feel the photos and reviews on other websites are very misleading.nFortunately we had fun as 2 families, we loved the area and did lots of exploring.nThe coop across the road was very helpful but there's lots of litter around left by kids who use the courts and benches behind.
It was a pretty spacious apartment. We went there on a family trip we booked it for 6 people and 2 infants but the place had the capacity to accommodate at least 10-12 people comfortably. It had 3 bedrooms, 2 large and 1 small. One basement kitchen with an attached utility. Its self service place there is no house keeping it is your responsibility to leave the place clean, wash and restore all the utensils before you check out. It had two dining and living areas. Also had a backyard. A playroom for kids with toys, books and playstation.nThe place is situated in a village close to Inverness The only challenge we faced was that everything closes after 5 so you wont be able to find food or anything after that
Absolutely gorgeous apartment in the lovely town of Avoch.nIt's up a flight of stairs, everything in the apartment was top notch.nCooking facilities are excellent along with the dining area.nThe bedrooms are ensuite and the beds and bedding excellent.nI recommend this as a place to stay
We stayed in the red kite 2 bedrooms apartment for the weekend. Brilliant lovely low budget accommodation under £200, the best one in Avoch, very spacious for entertaining, dining, cooking and everything else you can think of. Comfortable but not very warm especially early morning and night in the winter. Unfortunately there's are no restaurants, just takeaway shops and the overpriced coop corner shop. Perfect base accommodation for any staycation in Scotland. The owners were very lovely, friendly and helpful. I would recommend this place.
A lovely little hotel set in the heart of the highlands. It is only a short drive from Inverness. Breakfast was great and the service was friendly and polite. We really enjoyed our stay and the room was quite nice as well. We stayed in the en-suite and had plenty of space and it was clean and comfortable. I would recommend Rosmarkie beach which is nearby.
