I have been eating here for a number of years and the welcome and food are exceptional. The choices are plentiful. The only down side as with all Indian restaurants is the crazy price of the alcohol.
Looking forward to the new Star of Bengal in Duke Street.  Please keep the prices competitive lads and no increases to pay for the restaurant

Arguably the best Indian restaurant in Darlington. Had set meal for 4. Starters were all a good size but not overwhelmingly so. Extremely tasty and succulent full of flavour. The restaurant looks quiet and unassuming from outside and when you enter it is immaculate and has a nice cosy feel. Plenty of space between the large tables. Menu choice was very good. Main meals were all delicious and cannot fault the food at all. First class service made us feel very welcome. Facilities onsite are clean. Food was prompt and all staff very attentive. I cannot recommend enough. Steady stream of people collecting their orders and as the evening progressed it started to fill quickly so a reservation may be in order. Will definitely be visiting again. Superb!

Just had a beautiful meal with my wife. The service was first class and food was great, full of fresh ingredients. Can't wait for our next visit.
