Absolutely love this fish and chip shop. Staff are always friendly. Food is fresh and hot. Prices have gone up, to be expected but not gone up a lot. Still affordable as a treat. Clean and tidy inside shop. Chips have such an amazing taste and even buying a small portion, you will receive loads of them. Waiting times are very short. Normal quite a busy little fish and chip shop.

People there are very polite, always spare me if if 30p off. food is decent, gets cold quite quickly and it's a bit cramped if busyFood: 4/5

This use to be my favourite chip shop, wouldn't go elsewhere but sadly the last 3 times the chips have been disgusting. Hard & crispy tasting heated up. We drive all the way over from Paxcroft but not sure where to go now

Food was great chips were lovely and fresh and chicken wings were nice. It wasn't service with smile but you can't have it all.

Found 2 long hairs inside my battered sausage... Phoned to complain to be told noone there has long hair and it can't be from their staff and it could have been from customer simply leaving hair behind on the counter.. Physically made me sick and I couldn't finish my meal. 1* simply for the large portion of chips as it went round 4 of us. Been coming here for years but won't be returning as the hygiene clearly isn't up to standard.

Just had fish and chips. Ordered and waited in car. Freshly cooked fish which was lovely in light batter and small is a good size portion. They even brought it out to the car for us when it was cooked. Definitely will be returning

Always nice to have a good chippy nearby. Decent portion sizes.  Fish not quite as good as it has been in the past but always worth an occasional visit is the Star Fish Bar.
