The first time we dined here was excellent. Great menu, wonderful atmosphere and excellent food. We thought we’d come back, expecting the same experience however we were really disappointed. Firstly the atmosphere was totally off. We came for our wedding anniversary expecting a romantic dinner. Instead we had topless children running around and making noise, along with a very strange choice of music playlist. The menu had changed, and we also felt there was far less choices that we liked. When the food did come out, it was nowhere near as good as our previous meals, both in appearance and taste. Next time we stay at the Titanic, we will most likely head into the city for dinner instead.
Food and service was very good. Lot‘s of meat free options. Really enjoyed the veg. Koftas. We ate there on both nights of our stay. Service was excellent. We can recommend to book a table in advance.Food: 5/5
Late lunch, easy to book online. Parking is easy with a small charge, maybe this should be refunded if eating. Large restaurant but quite cold. Chairs are uncomfortable. We only ordered main course, Hake on vanilla buttered mash with broccoli, perfectly cooked with a nice sized piece of fish, nice addition of king prawns. Service was quick, friendly, and efficient. Malbec red was well priced.
I had a dinner booked at Stanley’s as part of one of the Maya Blue Spa’s promotional deal, which included treatments, an hour in the spa, and a two-course dinner at Stanley’s, which had to be chosen from a specific “Maya Blue Spa menu”. They also charge for parking by the hour. Our time in the spa was lovely, but upon arriving at the restaurant, they had no knowledge of our booking, despite the fact I had been reassured via email & in person that we were booked in for 5.30pm. We were seated relatively quickly regardless of this issue, and the servers were very polite & friendly. The Maya Blue menu itself is extremely limited, with only 3 starter options & 3 main options sides and drinks are extra. The tomato & basil soup starter was lovely and the bread roll it was served with seemed freshly baked. However, the main course was not good at all. The salmon was bland, so overcooked & dry it left a dusty film in the mouth, and it’s skin was so crispy is tasted burnt. The salad it was served on top of was basically just lettuce leaves and some roasted courgettes which had a slimy, gel like quality to them, with a sparse sprinkling of mustard dressing. The chicken was also overcooked & dry, and was served with flavourless giant couscous & a very minty tzatziki style dressing that tasted slightly alcoholic/had an off-putting twang to it. The waiter was very apologetic when we informed him that the mains were of poor quality, but we were not offered any recompense. We were going to stay for dessert, but our main courses were so off-putting that We left and ordered a KFC bucket on the way home
Enjoyed a Lovely Meal here after a Luxury Spa Day with 2 of my Best Friends. Atmosphere was really nice and warm. Food was Exceptional in my opinion. We all got the Spinach & Ricotta Pasta Bake wich is honestly the best Pasta I've "EVER" had to this date. Can't lie. Not stopped thinking about it since I had it . Puddings were also really scrumptious. On the other hand it could have been an off day but Service was Very Poor. We waited around 20-25 minutes for drinks for our puddings. Or for anyone to even ask us. Or take plates away. Puddings came wrong and then had to be corrected wich took another 20 minutes. By this time I had already ate mine. Restaurant was not Busy at the time and only had few staff walking around but no one seemed to take notice. Hopefully it was just a bad day but did put me off.
Enjoyed a afternoon tea. Had all you can drink tea and coffee and lovely fresh scones with jam and cream and nice selection of sandwich's And some nice little cakes just the right amount for 2. Had to take some cakes home in box as could not finish them all. Also had prosecco and Cocktails. Staff very quick nice and friendly with lovely views of the heritage dock.
Gutted about our visit as the food was actually delicious. Unfortunately we found the service to be very poor which ultimately left a negative feeling overall. We were seated in the corner away from other diners and away from the atmosphere. I'm not sure if this contributed to the reason why we waited so long throughout for any staff to come over. We had 2 x Sunday roast and 2 x afternoon teas. Compared to other eateries of a similar calibre I found the prices to be on the expensive side £17 for Sunday roast. You also have to pay for the carpark even when dining in the restaurant. We waited that long that in the end we left without ordering dessert.
Very poor, if was not for my brother staying at the hotel as well I would of had a moan, I will be a little fair to the staff as there did seem to be a very large event on in one half of the hotel, which may have taken a toll on the Grills cooks and waiters. But main points 1 We had to wait about 20 minutes for our drinks even thou they were done and sitting on the bar 2 the steaks were dreadful just full of fat not sure if any of us actually ate them, the chips, I've had better from the frozen isles of Tesco. Certainly would not go again, even thou the building is quite spectacular
Lovely afternoon with family for Sunday Lunch. Food was amazing, staff were excellent and the weather was perfect for dockside drinks. I will definitely be coming back xFood: 5/5
Attended a dinner reception and was treated to a 3 course meal in the private hall. The pink steak was cold, dry & tough but the chips are hot ? I have no idea how did the Chef murdered a pink steak to death ? What a sad dining experience of what would be a perfect convention. Only consolation was the fried cod as appetiser and choc lava cake which saved it from 1 Star ....
