Unfortunately my only dealings with Stanley house have been in sad circumstances - an acute appointment followed by our pet being put to sleep - but i can honestly say all the staff were fantastic throughout my difficult time there and i have no hesitation in recommending them.

I have been with this vets for the last 10 years, however my dog Sammy collapsed in November. When we arrived at the vets Alison (Vet) took him straight from me and it turned out he was bleeding internally from a ruptured tumour. Sammy had always been fit and healthy until this day. Alison rang me to advise they needed to remove his spleen and although his chance of survival in the theatre was low she would do everything she could. Sammy survived but sadly the results came back that he had Hemangiosarcoma, it’s a very rare cancer and extremely rare in small dogs esp Yorkies. Over the next 8 weeks of his life Gilly and Alison did regular checks, answered my 1000's of questions and offered support throughout it all. Sadly I rushed Sammy in again on the 20th Jan and Felicity (Vet) had to break the news he was bleeding again but there was nothing more that could be done. Felicity showed compassion talking me through my options (did I want to take him home or not) and we decided for Sammy to let him go at the vets. Felicity showed so much empathy and respect throughout his final moments. I have nothing but 100% praise for this surgery and Colne Branch. When we are ready to get another fur baby we will be registered back here. Throughout the whole process I never once had to worry about insurance and payments. The vets did all the work for me meaning I could focus my attention to Sammy. Since Sammy passed the staff have been so supportive, asking how I am and if I need anything to contact them. Thank you to you all (from the cleaners to the nurses, reception to vets)
