I think that paying 100% upfront before the work is done is not acceptable in this day and age and I only paid the last 50% when the work was completed.  The quote was by far and away the best value for money in the marketplace at the time. I had 27 m of balustrade with top rail and three Juliet balconies fitted.  It’s fair to say that having spent over 45 years  as a quality manager in one of worlds  leading Aero engine manufacturing companies  I am more fussy than most people. I am absolutely delighted with not only the product the very professional way it was installed I couldn’t be more happy!  The stainless steel fittings are almost aircraft engine quality! I would certainly recommend these people to anybody!

Quick to take your money! I have been helping my father-in-law fit his new balcony and it hasn't been a good experience. First problem, we had is that one of the holes for a fixing didn't work but even worse one piece didn't fit. As I was doing this as a favour I was left driving around locally to get someone to help me cut the railing handrail down. I was left with no help from SHS! Quick to take the deposit but useless in helping out!

Ok, 5 stars so far, from my initial contact I was helped through my requirements & passed to the order desk
where again I was helped through the 2nd last process & price confirmation.
An email arrived very quickly with my 3D drawing, I needed to confirm 2 things which I did & 2nd drawing 
arrived with my prefect design.
The whole process was excellent, they even coped with my very sore throat & croaky voice.
When the delivery arrives next Jan. 2018 I will add a second review.

A Rubbish Company!!! DO NOT BUY FROM THEM !!!!The sales and quote procedure was smooth. The price was definitely the best I could get. But then started the nightmare. The surveyor sent was not knowledgeable, his body language showed he didn't understand what he needs to do. Complained to a manager  and he acknowledged that the surveyor was only a contract one and he assured to send a regular one from company. The guy who came was not a surveyor and he himself said that. Then the start of real nightmare. I was told to pay all the sum upfront. Strange but that's the rule of the company. The survey was done on 22.08.17 and they informed me that the hand rail( not the glass) was finished on 12.09.17. But after that it just went on and on asking how log? No real answer. Finally they sent the stock on 09.10.17. Again a guy was sent ( contractor and not employee) to fit them on 11.10.17. He found that the surveyor hadn't done the job properly. I would say he did his best to fit the system within our leased area.. But then, he said they haven't sent the gate for him to fix. Again called a guy in their operations sweet talk and as such pure lies. They said the gate was not upto the standard that s why they didn't send it. What a bunch of jokers!!!! Anyways again wait and wait ( I have already paid in full two months before) . Finally another guy came to fix the gate after doing half the job he said the lock parts were missing. By this time I realised that it was pointless to get annoyed with these people. They kept on giving dates and cancelling without informing, so finally called this senior manager , who informed me that unfortunately he cannot do anything to compensate for this kind of service as the owners of the company do not agree such. The gate was finally installed on the 30th of October,more than 3 months after I paid and survey was done. Then also a asked for a latch for the door they put a rubber string and vanished. The guy who came the last day didn't even bother to get the job signed off . How awful experience it can be after paying about £4k for a balustrade
