If i could give zero I would. Honestly pray you never need an e6 bus because they never turn up and seem to run to there own timetables. Waited 56 minutes for an e6 bus to turn up at sunderland today shocking. Amazed the next one turned up to be honest but its probably because the driver told me he has just started his shift.
The last people that deserve to go on strike. Show up on time for once. So convenient for yous when other people need to get to work
Getting worse instead of better with the new Interchange, Sunday service is abominable, hardly any buses and timetable doesn't often run to time, to be honest I found the old bus depot and the older bus drivers much better. I think they seem to forget it's a public service and that's who pays their wages. Need some sort of public relations training for the newer staff
If I could I would give zero stars. The majority of the drivers are rude, aggressive, ill mannered or just plain nasty. They are quite frankly some of the most unhelpful unprofessional bunch of people. It is a surprise if the bus even turns up, picks you up, stops at the stop you want , you aren't verbally abused. A lot of the time ticket machines don't work and on some you just pray that the bus doesn't fall apart or break down. A lot of them being in a museum or a wreckers yard. Plus don't dare to complain because it will be brushed off, made to feel it was your fault or some weak cut and paste apology. If I could give minus stars I would.
When I accidentally left my suitcase on the bus they were kind and helpful which helped put my mind ar ease
Thank you to the driver on todays 9.30 X34 to newcastle. My son said he was a hero. He got all his passengers to their destination safely. He fought like mad to keep bus safe going from Testo roundabout to Whitemare pool. Well done, the driver needs a bonus going out in this weather. Let's hope journey back tonight is just as good.

Nothing ever seems to change with this branch of Stagecoach, some of their drivers are uncompassionate, incredibly rude and simply unwelcoming to most passengers, and their fleet of vehicles aren't the best around. Some of their drivers have no understanding of those with hidden disabilities, and personal experiences have clearly displayed that, with some drivers trying to refuse travel for round trips, despite that being one of my ways to enjoy my time being out, and even having a valid ticket to travel as many times at my hearts content. They also run buses to South Shields from the Sunderland Depot on the Coastal E bus services, there is one particular driver who is quite young who wears a cap most of the time, he is one of the most rudest bus drivers they have. He constantly drives fast only to sit at the next timing point to browse his phone, this is not a one off thing, it is everytime he is driving the bus. He has said infront of passengers that he hates his job, and seems to do it so bad that he wants them to sack him. Their phone line seems to be non-existent now as trying to make any sort of general enquiry or complaint seems to now be done via Twitter or Email, I don't understand how the current situation can prevent a bus company answering their phone to customers, and it would be more easier for people to go down to the Depot in person as otherwise you'll be kept waiting '7 working days' for a response... Last year the Free Wi-Fi was removed from all the vehicles, despite that they still advertise it is available. Their oldest vehicles, the MAN's don't seem to have any emmision standards as one vehicle in particular constantly blows heeps of smoke out of the back when it pulls away from bus stops, not to mention they aren't any use with the elderly as they have quite steep gaps going up towards the majority of seats, and they are useless with facilitating wheelchairs and prams onto the vehicle as the floor is very hard to adjust down to their level. Some drivers have commented on how bad these vehicles are, and even the ticket inspector admitted and I quote "they belong in a museum", but this Depot has not seen any investment in vehicles for six years now, and it makes you wonder what the future plans are...
A slightly late thank you to the staff at the lost property section here. Went out of their way to help return one of the bairns lost Pop card. The drivers on our buses are normally friendly too.
