Ooh the interior. To be stood in that centre tower. Staring up on a sunny day the thoughts of pilgrims burns through. Spacious inside abd well kept,on our day there was less atmosphere than you might expect but a Full occasion would be something

My Great Great Grandfather William James Matthews was buried in the cemetery here in 1917. I think he was born in the village in December 1838 He was an agricultural labourer. I wonder if any local historians know if he had a Headstone?

Having the prayer room at the front is most pleasing. That is what churches should be - as Jesus said "My house shall be called a house of prayer"

A stupendous church but not often open. Look for the re-used Roman carvings in the wall and the fabulous  tower interior.

Was here for a Funeral we thought it was a nice setting and the church was well cared for.
