This wonderful B&b is the most wonderful place and a wonderful couple who goes beyond the call of duty to help you I have called very late at night on 3 occasions when I have missed the ferry to go back to the island of Arran and they have even picked me up from the train station and this is at 11pm at night it's a wonderful wonderful place to stay and very wonderful people. They should receive more stars. I wish I could stay for longer but always short lived Denise Bodie

Stunning - furnished like a museum but manages to feel homely and comfortable. Wonderful welcome, great breakfast and just around the corner from the Arran ferry... Result!

Sorry Iris, my wife and I must have stayed in a different place. We have just returned from an excellent weekend spent in the company of our two fabulous hosts, Debbie and Iain. Nothing is too much trouble for them and they went out of their way to make us feel at home. The house is full of interesting antiques and curios but was never sold to us as a castle. The food was excellent, the accommodation superb and we both slept like babies in the biggest double bed I have ever seen. We fully intend to return.

This is a 2 bedroom guest house, or at least, that is the permission they have been granted by North Ayrshire Council. There are no en-suite bedrooms - all rooms share a bathroom along with the owner. The house shares 2 of the boundary walls with a large secondary school and another with a busy road and a very busy and noisy rugby club. The owner has her walls covered with weapons, large swords etc. and strangely considers the house to be a castle - it is not anything even remotely similar to a castle. This is a residential property with no permission to operate as a business providing corporate hospitality, party nights, spa days/nights or any other kind of event.

Wouldnt been more happier, wish i could stay longer. Very warm welcoming from the hosts, nice decoration throughout the house.
