The staff at the reception was rude and seemed annoyed. When scheduling, she suggested a very specific date and time and wanted me to respond immediately while I was still trying to check my timetable. I filled out the form and followed up with her twice via email to confirm if my registration was successful. She did not respond for an extended period, which further delayed my referral request to the GP. She appeared unsatisfied and irritated with her work, which made others feel the same way after chatting with her.
This GP practice has repeatedly made me wait over 30 minutes to see the doctor, but refused to take me in even for a super short appointment when I arrived 5 or 10 minutes late. Also, when I do see the doctor, I get told it needs to be 10-15 minutes max and that I therefore need to book a second or third appointment to get examined. It’s just not the best feeling to be treated in a way that feels patronising by a healthcare provider. I am aware of the strains the NHS is under but a little empathy goes a long way. We all live busy lives.
Very good doctors, but administration / reception are extremely unprofessional as others have pointed out even as far as simple things such as ignoring of time-critical emails. I have asked to speak to Practice Management - if the practice plan on responding to this with that suggestion, I would be greatful for a specific phone number or email I could contact. Update: Having spoken to the Practice Manager Michelle Ekerin, the incomptence is unfortunately practice wide. They were atleast relatively quick to respond, but unapologetic, incredibly defensive and even somwhat passively aggresive which I found bizarre. Safe to say I would never recommend this place!
Extremely unprofessional staff. Ive made several requests for documents to be sent to me which they are for some reason unable to do and if you call and ask for help you will be spoken to with hostility and told there is nothing they can do. They give you extremely long deadlines within which the documents will be sent and dont send them AND EXPECT YOU TO PAY. I had a conversation earlier today with Gilian and I am not sure if it is an issue of age or complete lack of cultural awareness but the way she spoke to me when I asked if there is anything I can do to assist in accelerating the job that I requested to be done, she became extremely defensive and unprofessional. This is the second time they have interfered and delayed issues that are to do with my health and became highly defensive even when nothing negative was being done to them. Unacceptable
The receptionist Katarzyna Pitula was very rude and impolite to me and other students, she basically rolled her eyes to us. She doesn’t seem to enjoy her time working there. The other staff members are completely fine, but Katarzyna’s attitude has ruined my whole experience with the clinic. Suggesting her to change an occupation if she’s not happy with her job now.
Been coming to this practice since I was a student at LSE and never wanted to move even if it means being outside of the postcode coverage area. Easy to book/schedule an appointment with my GP especially for routine matters, or if they’re unavailable, I’ve always found that other GPs or nurses in the practice are willing to step in. Helpful receptionists though sometimes appointments can run late. In my experience, everyone is respectful of privacy and identity, including for gender diverse individuals.
Dr May Momen is easily the best medical doctor I have had in the UK, possibly ever. Not only is she extremely knowledgable and nuanced, but she is also very kind and cares about her patients.
Used to be a very easy to access and regular GPs - same ones - now 2 week wait different GP each time with no interest. Had two referrals not happen so back of the queue for me. They need to remember why they are there. Looking to move before they miss something that could be serious. We are not all students. New post - just tried to book an appointment to follow up on a private health check which flagged in red a number of issues and some amber - nothing for '2 weeks' I have sent the report in but no response - I did try and suggest that there may be other earlier appointments, so was told to try 'in the morning' - I also questioned that 3 GPs would be fully booked all and every day every 10 minutes for the next two weeks and apparently they are - in which case the practice is full and they should not take on more. I've emailed the practice - but no response so the responses are worthless and I will not be taking up my option to go elsewhere - I've read about '2 week waits' - but this is the first GP surgery that I've found sticks to it - oddly there used to be no wait which is why I stayed - also wondering who books to see a GP 2 weeks in advance??? My last visit the GP didn't move from the chair, did not engage at all, just sat back, assumed all was the same as my last visit also didn't move from the chair which it very much is not and you leave just wondering why on earth you made the effort to turn up - they do not follow up on anything - probably because it is a different person each time. Receptionist needs to learn some people skills.
Fairly easy to get appointments and have kind doctors and nurses. I want to especially thank the professional and kind nurse Ms Louise Prothero Locum, who minimised my discomfort during an examination and made me feel so well taken care of. It made such a big difference to my whole doctor's visit.
Please do not register your gp here. This terrible place will only ruin your life and make your mental health condition even worse. You will never see the doctor because they will keep canelling your original appointment with no reason and not a single notice. They will then rescheduled it to let you wait for the call by the doctor. But you know what THEY WILL NEVER CALL YOU. Promises mean nothing to the people work in this terrible place and so as your so called "health issue". Run as fast as you can and never come to this place will make your life better.
