Story

St Peters Parish comprises three church communities that express God's love in a variety of ways, not least by providing a home for different groups: pre-school children, young people, celebration events and more.
Right at the heart of what we are about is helping people know God in their own experience, especially through prayer and worship.

Attended St. Peter's to see 'In the Footsteps of Ewan McColl' 11th May which was absolutely superb. Only complaint was that we couldn't properly hear what was being said in the first half. Mentioned it to the sound engineer and it turned out it was because of where we were sitting. He tweaked the system and it was perfectly fine in the second half.
Went to see Explosive Light Orchestra, an ELO tribute band. Was a superb night in an absolutely perfect venue.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedYes

An unusual church. From the outside it looks like any other CofE Church but inside was different. The ceiling was flat ane painted red with white squares. There was a balcony round 3 sides - more like a methodist church. The stained glass windows up the sides were attractive an traditional. The east window was also attractive but in a very different style. I was singing there in a concert and it was a good place to sing but the pews were very hard!
Pretty good as a venue for folk concerts. A bit short on toilets, and the system for buying drinks is a bit unwieldy but at least they do sell drinks - not bad for a church. Friendly and welcoming volunteers and organisers with good taste in performers.
Amazed at how warm it was inside on a cold frosty day outside. Very clean toilets and spacious foyer. Beautiful church inside. The two ministers were truly excellent in accommodating the wishes of the bereaved young family. The pews were all well upholstered, with additional cushions. If I lived in Belper I would go there regularly.
I attended a brass band concert there. I had a nice seat next to a radiator. There are a reasonable number of toilets. I am disabled and walking in from my own car would have been a challenge due to lack of nearby parking, but I used a taxi.
Went to see the ELO tribute band there last Saturday night. It was great and absolutely packed. Doubt there would be so many on the Sunday morning. Excellent venue for a band.
Beautiful church is calm surroundings. Well cared for & well run.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
Friendly welcoming church with nice staff. Largish, carefully arranged for Covid protection. Nicely furnished. No car park, clearly not anything the church can remedy, but should be considered. On street parking available for a few cars.
