This is walking through Beatles origins. Paul and John surely walked that block lots of times during their teens and they officially met at the church's hall just across the street.  The church is beautiful and it's also a cemetery which has another beatle / historical landmark : Eleanor Rigby's grave. I went there on a rainy Sunday afternoon and it was a surreal experience watching some of those Graves dated around the 1800s. So much history on that block. It's a Liverpool must!

Beautiful church on the hilltop in Woolton village…nnAn old and a new cemetery around. Very peaceful and quiet place, regardless of the heavy traffic on the roads nearby. Great place for a walk, a little spiritual retreat or a prayer.nnFeeling very lucky as the church was open at the time of my visit so I could do a little video of the interior, too.nnLocals were really friendly. Definitely worth a visit if life takes you there!

Very solemn and peaceful graveyard, we went to visit Eleanor Rigby’s grave made famous by the Beatles. While we were there we also visited Bob Paisleys grave to pay our respects to a legend of Anfield and the Liverpool football team.

The church is quite simple and the graveyard makes the whole story of Eleanor Rigby come to life. For Beatles Fans like me, very meaningful, but for others, it may have no effect at all.

Nice to be back at St Peter's, also had a quick chat with Mr Paisley who I haven't seen for a few years.
