Hidden away from the main bustle of the town, this church is a quiet retreat from the hustle of the river. One of Norfolk's rare round towered churches, one of only 133 still in existence.
A lovely old church with a round tower so typical of Norfolk. Inside there is a rare brick font as well as the remains of some medieval wall paintings and screen. The modern embroidered kneelers are so well done and attractive to give an element of enjoyment to this building. The downside is this church is difficult to find for those not too familiar with the area!
My granddaughter was interested in seeing the church and the architecture inside. we where out with a friend so he took us to see the church as we were close to it. Most churches are sadly having to be locked up. But we were lucky enough to see inside as it was open that day. Photos were taken by my granddaughter they are beautiful. It was a Monday. so if anyone is interested in seeing the church go on a Monday and you could be lucky enough to see the beauty of the inside well worth a visit.
Stunning!!! The church warden was so enthusiastic, it was contageous. Her collection of kneelers a masterpiece.
Interesting church with circular tower. Still haven't been able to look inside however.
We went for a crafts and garden event. Bought 2 hanging baskets and a fuschia
