A large 14th C. Church. Originally attached to a Priory for a small order of Trinitarian friars. . By the time of Henry VIII Reformation they had discontinued their work. There are a few remnants or the priory remaining. Two 14th Century tombs are to found inside, Sir Oliver de Ingham and Sir Roger de Bois with wife. Some prints of how the memorials might have looked are nearby. Alas today they are defaced but still worth a close look. A 13th Century octagonal Purbeck marble font with 19th C. additions. There is a lot of 19th Century restoration to be seen including the windows, a Gothic Victorian wooden lectern and a beautiful hammerbeam roof. A great church to view, there is parking next to the church, but not sure if it is the church’s.
