Been here loads of times and always a popular pub tight in middle of Walsall town centre. Friendly helpful polite staff drinks menu has lots to choose from as has the food menu...never been served a bad meal or had to wait long for sevice. Food is always hot fresh and delicious and good value for money...well worth a visit

Typical weatherspoons. Great selection of drinks. Nice location. The bar area is  Small very cramped especially when busy. Good space around the back and one large outdoor area and an smaller one out front. Dark inside but cosy when open fire is on. Not the most clean even out off peak times almost every time I've been in always an noticeable amount of empty glasses and plates awaiting to be collected.

Only reason I didn't give it the 5th star is I think bar staff should know what they are serving/selling asked for a particular gin and same with a whisky they didn't really know what they were looking for

St Matthews hall never fails to disappoint.  If you can stand the smell of urine, like customers airing their personal issues with themselves and others around them, enjoy extremely hot food on one side of the plate and stone cold on the other (chef microwave), are overjoyed by youths bringing in a pizza or burger from the local take away for the free WiFi and nicking the condiments, or indeed don't mind sticky tables and glasses that are not collected until last orders...........this is the place for you!

Love a weatherspoons bar. Enjoyed refillable coffee. Had light lunch which was nice. Busy pub so can be noisy but I like a place with atmosphere.  On the whole a great time BUT. We did sit near the disabled toilets which did leave a urine/unpleasant smell .
