Beautiful little church, a very peaceful place

If you'll pardon the expression, this is a heavenly place. We attended friends' last but by no means least child's wedding. If you had a wonderful dream about the most idyllic wedding, this could have been it.

Lovely secluded church with a lot of character.

Loved my visit here. A standout magnificent well presented Church,  tucked away from the busy main road. The approach road is in a  sorry state but well worth the effort.

Very picturesque church Lovely place for a wedding

St. Mary's Church, Whitewell, Iscoyd  Constructed in 1830, this small whitewashed Church replaced a timber and plaster Church which collapsed in 1829.  There are records of a Church standing on the site in 1570 but it is believed that it was a very early site of Christian worship.  The location is an oddity. Iscoyd was originally part of a detatched part of Flintshire but lies closer to Whitchurch in England than Flint.  It is now part of Wrexham Maelor, but for ecclesiastical purposes it falls under the Diocese of Chester and it has a Shrewsbury Postcode!
