St Marks is a beautiful destination. The building is absolutely stunning and has been sensitively decorated. It shows all the flair you would expect from the very lovely and artistic hosts Jo and Damian. The hosts are wonderful and will make your stay perfect for you, nothing is too much trouble. The surrounding area is idyllic and offers fantastic views, walks and outdoor activities. If you want to spoil yourself and have a break to remember then look no further, this is the place for you.

Such a fantastic place to stay! Jo and Damien are incredibly welcoming hosts and will really make sure you feel at home. The house is really well equipped with a big kitchen, dining room, living room, snug and all the bedrooms are ensuite. The terrace is glorious with an outdoor fire for the evenings and a rope swing for more adventurous guests! I honestly can’t recommend this place and the hosts highly enough!

We were looking for a place which would accommodate 10 people for a university reunion in the Lake District - this place stood head and shoulders above the rest of the properties we viewed! We had intended on booking the whole place, knowing that we would be up late etc, however, we were a little disappointed to find that the hosts actually live on site. This worry lasted all of about 10 minutes, we sent them a message to introduce ourselves and they made us feel like we were talking with friends instantly. This continued when we arrived as they were happy to have dinner and a glass of wine with us, giving us an orientation of the area. The house is fantastic, tastefully decorated with formal/ informal rooms, a classroom/ activity space, a well-stocked kitchen and an amazing garden terrace. This said, by a long way it was Jo, Damien and Quito who made the weekend break for me. Knowing that a few of my university number may read this, I now much prefer them to many of you ;)
