Undoubtedly one of the best self catering accommodation's we have ever stayed in. Everything about it was spot on! It was quality from start to finish in Swallows Nest. Fantastic nights of sleep in the huge Super King bed, in total darkness and peace and quiet. The facilities such as the kitchen, dining area and washrooms were fantastic, and it was so lovely to relax on such comfortable settees. It was immaculately clean and always warm and welcoming to come back to. Great to be on a working farm too - so much of interest to see and hear everyday, and a wonderful area for walking. Earnest and Dorothy, the owners, could not have been kinder to us and nothing was too much trouble for them. Would recommend this accommodation 100% to anyone.

We have just returned from staying at the Swallows Nest property with our two children aged 11 and 4. The property itself was lovely, of very high quality and immaculate!  It had a great shower too, always a bonus!  Ernest and his wife Dorothy who run the farm were so helpful and let the children feed the lambs which they absolutely loved!   Great location for walks from the doorstep, and also exploring further afield we visited Dent and also Windermere, all very different but equally enjoyable!  A perfect place to get away from it all and relax.
