Not good at all. Not that we like to call Surgery for our hobby or interest. Calling surgery is nightmare. My husband called up to book an appointment as Anima does not have options for his issues. Eventually the call got through and the telephone operator said they will contact us at lunchtime. Nothing so far. Does any of the staff or doctor feels poorly in their life?
Absolutely amazing experience today. I arrived very upset for some advice after a distressing pharmacy appointment. I was greeted by Maxine with the upmost respect and empathy. Maxine took it upon herself to liaise there and then with the gp who agreed quickly see my daughter my daughter is autistic so visiting unfamiliar places is a challenge. The gp was an amazing soul, who comforted me seeing I was distressed at the treatment I had given previously and was so kind and reassuring to my daughter. They went above and beyond today and I am so very, very grateful.
We dread having to visit this gp, it’s impossible to ever get my 15 month seen, sometimes waiting nearly 3 days and up to a week and waiting so long we had to use other means, I’ve waited over 5 months for my primary health records to be released by them, I have had multiple calls from the army stating the gp has been contacted well over 20 times! Without any progressions on being aloud to view my own records, It’s impossible to use this gp, its whole structure and means of running is awful, by far the worst gp I’ve ever had to use. We cannot wait to relocate away from this doctors and find a doctors with some professional care. Been given appointment on Sunday by mistake, been waiting 3 days for an appointment ti get a text we have 60 minutes to arrive to appointment, not even at our local surgery. With no notice. The whole process of this gp is awful, I have spoken to well over 30/40 people who deal with the same issues with this gp, it’s need investigation due to its lack of care and negligence to its patients. I often tell people to stay well clear! However they would probably like that as you are made to feel like a total problems from start to finish using this gp. I’m now having issues with my career bevauee of their negligence! Stay well clear
I'd just like to vent my disappointment with this service. I recently moved to hedge end and this is my local surgery. My previous surgery I could pick up the phone and book an appointment, or speak to an actual human. Me and my wife were suffering with suspected chest infections and we thought we would get an appointment to maybe get antibiotics. To our surprise we had to do an e consult to see if we'd get an appointment. The e consult responded in about 3 hours, to which they closed the e consult and told us to go up the hospital, and we couldn't have an appointment at the surgery, seems ridiculous we are expected to go sit up a hospital, spread our germs I wear a mask just in case I pay into the system and don't hardly use it. But I have to say this is pathetic. I am aware the system is very strained and I do have respect for the NHS. However this has failed us both
Excellent service kind and friendly extremely helpful as we got swiftly seen, even though we hadn’t pre planned an appointment. The dr we saw was exceptional kind informative and helpful kept my daughter very calm and at ease even played relaxing music.
St Luke's surgery used to be a wonderful small community surgery until it became part of the Living Well partnership, since the amalgamation there appears to have been a steady decline in the level of service to the patients. Gone are the days when you could get an appointment by walking into the surgery everything now is via eConsult, all very well if your computer literate which unfortunately many of our older generation are not and these are genuinely the people that require the most help. My own personal experience recently has seen documentation overlooked, waiting weeks for just routine tests and a preference for telephone consultations rather than a face-to-face assessment if you are lucky enough to obtain an appointment the chances are it will be miles away in a surgery nowhere near where you currently live. I understand as a whole the NHS is under a great deal of pressure I just hope that this steady decline in services doesn't result with people that are genuinely ill being misdiagnosed with an unthinkable outcome. They often say where there is a negative there is also a positive the positive being the wonderful ladies on reception who always try to help and do their utmost in a very challenging environment.
Best experiance yet. Needed some extra meds. And receptioninst was brilliant. Dr didnt see me but did my prescription. And sent it to pharmacy.
Would have selected 0 stars if there were an option. Used to be a great surgery and now it’s most definitely the worst. Haven’t been able to see a doctor easily for ages. Haven’t managed to get any medication on time. Three phone calls and 3 visits and still nothing. Unfortunately when your on some medication you just can’t stop them and they would rather I go without. Like everyone else I work so it’s impossible to just pick up the phone when they decide to ring. I agree this shouldn’t be under the NHS it’s an absolute shambles. I’m glad all the original doctors left this practice they’d be ashamed and embarrassed how this has now turned out. Better of closing it down and using 111 instead because that’s the only choice I’ve had anyway
I am writing this review as this surgery has seriously gone downhill, i’ve been let down time and time again by my doctors, i’m currently waiting for an operation on my hips. I suffer with an ongoing illness called recurring focal osteomyelitis I was diagnosed this from the age of nine it has attacked my joints over the years, and with that, I’ve had two knee reconstructions and will need replacements of the hips and the knees in a few years time bearing in mind I’m 29 years old. Last night I had to call my mum to pick me up from work as I couldn’t drive my vehicle and take me to A&E as a pain was getting unbearable, they ran a few test done my bloods and told me to contact my doctors first thing in the morning. I was discharged from A&E at 4:30 this morning. I’ve done a consultation at 8am this morning explaining everything that’s been going on, I spent the whole day in pain, waiting for a phone call, but nothing so I called up about 5:30 I got to number one in the queue for the phone to just cut out, this is becoming a bit of a joke now, They have a duty of care which they never do!! They have also took it upon themselves to reduce my medication without a doctor appointment or even if a phone call, which is now caused a massive flareup.
Unfortunately this surgery has gone down hill. I had to attend the surgery the other day, a receptionist was sat there typing, did not look up or say anything to me so I waited. The second receptionist asked if she could help. You can't get hold of anyone everything has to be done by e-consult. The personal touch has gone out of the window, sometimes it would be so much quicker to actually speak to someone.
