Worth a visit if you're visiting Errwood Hall

Shocked to discover Jesus's face and been removed. Next time I visit I will bring him a new one.
Quiet and plenty of routes in and out.
Beautiful shrine of Saint Joseph, just off a country lane called " the street" near Buxton. The shine is accessible from the street plenty of pull in spaces and parking spaces, careful google maps doesn't take you the wrong way down a one way track that runs along the river goyt. Tranquil area with breathtaking views in all weather, from parking the car the shrine is a 5 minute walk down hill stay to the lower path until you see the steps leading down to the shrine. Easy ish walk, nice drive & child friendly. Definitely recommend, also worth reading up on the history of the shrine.
Beautiful winter walk, but check the weather reports this time of year. Errwood Hall car park is at the bottom of a valley you may struggle to get out of in the snow without 4WD.
Lovely walk , unique and beautiful setting for the shrine and the path walks around are well worth the effort .
Amazing hidden little gem, very unique.
An obscure but interesting historical monument. A must see for Atlas Obscura fans.
