A supportive church which is an asset to our local community. The pupils from our school regularly enjoy the "Open the Book" sessions. It was an absolute privilege to use this stunning church to host our whole school Christmas production from last year 2022. The church family are simply wonderful and they regularly go above and beyond to support us. Written by the headteacher of a local school.
This is a lovely church. It's warm hearted and open minded, everyone is genuinely welcomed and included. Worship is thoughtful and accessible and it does good work in it's local community - just started a warm spaces initiative, does loads with children and families.
It is my prilviege to be Vicar of this gorgeous church. We're an open-hearted, open minded community of people who are engaged in following Jesus' way of faith, hope and love in Whaley Bridge. The negative reviews posted below relate to a cruel social media scam that has nothing whatever to do with our church - simply fake news. It has hurt us. We have an excellent reputation locally and we are proud of that Don't believe the rubbish people post on the internet - come and visit and see for yourself!
I moved to Whaley Bridge last year. The community at Holy Trinity has been extremely warm and welcoming. Tea and biscuits after the Sunday service is an opportunity to get to know people. Very inclusive and friendly. There are quite a few scheduled events across the week including events that support the wider village community.
The church told me that I needed to pay £14 towards some 'Cheesus Christ' sandwiches for a community event at the local park. After disagreeing over the extortionate price of the sandwiches the church threatened to send men in from the council if I were to even orelook the park. The only reasonable compensation I'd expect to receive would be a public apology, for the Parish to re read Matthew 5:38-42, to stop threatening local businesses and for a donation of £300 to my lawyers within 30 working days of this complaint

The letter the low reviews are complaining about is a fake, not sent by this church. A simple check of the website shows a statement that the church did not authorise the blackmail letter and was done by an outside party. Please check and stop leaving false reviews on this poor church. It was a troll, or outside party using the churchs name. Please stop fake reviewing this place. edit: The name at the bottom and return address of the viral letter is Christian Concern. Look them up. They often start legal action through letters this way. No one thinks you are cool for harassing people because of a reddit post you didn't read the comments on.
Church feels the need to threaten legal action against local sandwich shops for names of sandwiches goes as far to ask members to donate to bully local businesses, shameful will not be returning. Disgusting for profit Christians going directly against God’s teachings
Jesus would be so disappointed in these cos playing Christians that are trying to legally threaten a business that makes a sandwich called Cheesus Christ. Jesus christ, get a grip! Don't support these terrible people
