I have never been up the tower before despite being from Liverpool and I finally faced my fears after having a fear of heights and took the plunge to go up it. The views are spectacular as you get a 360 view of the city region and towards the Wirral and Cheshire. Although it was a little foggy in the distance, it weren't that bad and you could still see a lot from up there. It was also nice and quiet and not too busy; and you get to meet some tourists, some were from Australia who were visiting the city. Also the staff seemed helpful and friendly when visited. For me and three adult family members, the tickets came to £32.00 £8 for adults which I thought was expensive as all that was up at the top was the views; although there was some facts about the tower on the wall, there weren't that many things to do, and I'd recommend including some more things to enjoy when at the top, as we were finished in under 35 minutes. That said, it was an enjoyable morning up there today.
Great, if you've a good head for heights! I thought I had but have to own up to one or two wobbles while up there. Panoramic views of the city and way way beyond, even as far as the Welsh mountains. The lift whooshes you up in seconds and once there you can stay as long as you like.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNot sure
Not bad to finally see it after living in Liverpool for ten years ‍. Well worth the visit though as long as you’re good with heights. Myself and a friend decided on this tour because the weather was so good. On a really clear day seeing over to Wales and Blackpool. All the viewing windows gave a fantastic view of the city. There were several plaques placed around the tower to highlight the well known places in Liverpool, plus there were members of staff on hand if you needed more help. I felt it was easy to walk around the tower, for anyone who may be less able-bodied I would suggest checking their website for wheelchair access etc. I enjoyed the self-exploratory tour.
Great place to visit to see Liverpool and surrounding areas. Better to go on a clear day. You can book in advance but you can also pay on arrival for the same prices. Friendly staff as well You can also see into the studio just through the glass for Radio City and GHR but nothing broadcasts from here much now at all and nothing when the tower is open.
Great views of the city, I did think it was quite expensive for what it was but we only were visiting for the day and didn’t want to go without the experience of the Radio Tower. It had lifts that takes you to the top so great for disabled visitors and I did take advantage of the free carer ticket which was available to registered carers.
Amazing experience when visiting Liverpool, a great way to see the city as a tourist. Friendly staff and lots of history to share.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedYes
400ft above the city offering 360 degree views of the city and surrounding areas. We had clear weather so had great views and it is great to see attractions and buildings from above allowing you to experience a unique view that most will not. I’m not good with heights but I felt calm and safe as you are in a completely enclosed walk way, it feels like an office but with spectacular views. No stairs involved, a very quick lift ride up/down. It is worth noting that the tower is still actively used for radio broadcasting and you can peer through windows to see the broadcasting rooms.
Amazing!!! I am 40 years old and live 5 minutes away from this and I have only just had my 1st visit! I do not like heights but found it easier after walking around a couple of times. The views are absolutely stunning. Definitely recommend this. You have free time up in the viewing gallery and just let the staff know when you want to take the lift back down.
Went just half hour before it closes, almost empty. A bit expensive for mu tastes. Half an hour there was more than enough to look around read and return.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
Great experience and an ideal way to see the city of Liverpool and the many famous sights. There are info boards around the perimeter of the viewing gallery explaining what you can see which was great. Well worth the price in my opinion. My only comment for improvement would be to ensure the windows are clean as some of them were quite dirty which of course is not ideal when wanting to see the view.
