Our dear Mum spent her last few days on Moors Ward at St Gemma's Hospice, in Moortown, Leeds. Mum sadly passed away peacefully on June 12th 2024. All the staff are amazing, with the genuine loving care and friendship they provided for our Mum, was first class. They were so kind to Mum and helped us all, at what and still is a very difficult time to come to terms with our loss. We can not thank the staff enough in all departments, thank you.
My father in law spent his last days here and i have to say St Gemma's Hospice is the best place he could've come to. The gardens are wonderful and the staff go above and beyond to make sure everyone is looked after. The staff don't just care for the patient, they also care for all the relatives and make sure you know you matter too!
Had the pleasure today of a home visit from Dr Jason Ward who came to see my ill father and speak to the family. Dr Ward was a respectful listener and was kind, helpful, polite and provided my family with much needed support. We are very grateful Dr Ward.
This charity shop is overpriced. There was a pair of boots with a stain on they were wanting £20. I asked if the lady would reduce them. She said no we can't. I checked online how much they were new and they were only £32. Ripping people off!!!!
Wish I could give the whole team at St Gemma's a six star rating. Kind, caring, understanding, professional, just a few of the words that describe all of the staff. Can never thank them enough for how they looked after my wife Janet, and myself in her final days. True Angeles, thank you. XX
My beautiful mother was here a week before she finally gave up her great fight against cancer. The staff were remarkable showing such compassion towards her making her end journey finish with dignity. A wonderful place with wonderful staff who can't thank enough for what they did.
I work in care and have had many experiences with hospitals. This hospice goes above and beyond all that I’ve seen. My Grandad was so peaceful and looked after in his final days, an outstanding, clean, amazing facility with staff that go the extra mile and care about every last detail, patients and relatives are so well cared for. Thank you so much .
The wonderful staff, the caring attitude it puts my faith back in humanity!! We stayed here for 5 hours visiting my daughters grandad and it was just like being at home, absolutely amazing. The grounds are beautiful and the rooms are huge and very clean. Its like an extended family, all the staff are lovely. Credit to this amazing hospice.
I have a dear friend who is at st Gemma's and the place is very quiet, it has lovely gardens and the staff are very friendly.
