Came to London to visit, very impressed by the church and the Mass. Fr Oscar is amazing, authentic homily and strong sense of reverence in the Mass, quiet but amazing experience in the church. Fr. Oscar's homily always burn the fire in my heart for Christ. Amazing location too, very central London. Hope to come back again.
The UK centrepiece of the heretic Neocatechumenal Way cult. The whole parish is infiltrated by the Protestant-Judaising "Way" which runs everything. The abuses of the Neocult are well documented so I won't repeat them here, but the use of psychological control is frequently brought up. It is not Catholic, regardless of how much of the Church hierarchy has been hoodwinked into accepting it. 'Come out of her my people, lest you be fixed with her errors."
Beautiful baptism basin and main altar that revokes rather Orthodox Christianity than Roman Catholic. This church is not marked as any point of interest and we stopped there by pure chance but if you are taking a stroll in the neighborhood it is definitely worth a short stop.
This is a beautiful church with a very friendly holy priest from Colombia Father Alaya. It has nice function rooms downstairs which are well used for AA meetings three days a week and the neocatechumenate movement. The church is bright and spacious with a large golden cross on the floor in the center. The priest gave a powerful homily on the idolatry of prestige and other false ideologies that forces some women to have abortions. His homily was enthusiastic and impassioned and intelligent. He met with us after and was modest and self effacing. I was inspired.
This was my little Parish Church when I came to London to study long ago in 1972! It is an absolute gem, tucked away in little Ogle St! And it's absolutely beautiful! The Presbytery sits right beside it. You always get a warm welcome!
As a quiet invisible nobody wandering through life, on my way home from a training course to my humble abode, I just happened to coincidentally happily stumble across this small peaceful oasis of calm, beautiful little gem of a church, for the very first time, nestled amongst the busy-ness of London's West End.., I was immediately drawn in, and just had to buy & light 2 candles for me & my disabled brother, to help guide us through the forthcoming New Year 2024.., along with a couple of free 'CAFOD World Gifts' booklets on my way out. Many Thanks for everything you do. God Bless!!!
This church is nice, but it intrigued me because of his uncanonic shape. The altar is central and the people can sit everywhere, very unusual for a catholic church
The parishioners are welcoming and the parish priest is very friendly, welcoming, respectful and his homilies are brilliant. Has a great singing voice. I love going to St Charles Borromeo as it’s a beautiful church with character and I always feel welcomed and at peace.
Beautiful family church. If you like receiving communion wine from the chalice, the church offers that every Sunday. The sermon is beautiful and enriching.
Discovered by chance when killing time ahead of a job interview. A plain exterior belies a stunning interior which whilst traditional in decor is anything but in layout, in large part due to the baptismal pool. A welcoming tranquil space.
