awful service I tried to apply for a parking suspension for a house removal and the online application was not working. i tried from a PC and a Mac using different browsers and still no success. I eventually got to speak to someone on the phone who said I needed to make an online application. I explained the situation and they said I had to do it online and there was no other way to do this. I bet if I owed them money there would be an alternative solution
Disgusting group of people. Only concerned with grabbing as much money as they can out of people. When you want some help they aren't interested. Extortionate council tax rates for a crummy city with pot-hole filled roads. A decent person would not be party to this despicable organisation.
Forcing people to use parking apps, in my view, is DISCRIMINATORY: - Against people without smartphones. - Against people who cannot afford a more modern phone app will not install on some older phones. - Against the ELDERLY who do not have the knowedge of how to use the app. What are St Albans DC doing? - trying to reduce high street footfall? - make ELDERLY people feel inadequate? - just screw fines out of people who can't cope with the modern technological world? Or: - lust make more money to cover their inability to provide services economically?
Horrible customer service. No one answers your emails or calls. It seems that people working there don't know about their daily job duties.. been waiting for my council tax refund for over 4 weeks!! If you don't pay your council tax on time then you get notice but they can hold your money..
Absolutely disgusting!! They removed one of our flats bins.. it’s an open garden which all of the houses use so we can’t get our rubbish in there!! They are useless and the grass hasn’t been cut!! I’m not paying council tax until it’s sorted
Just now, I came across a very nice, friendly couple in the garden opposite St Albans police station. They are doing a bit of voluntary garden work and they asked me if i would like to help. I told them i was not able today, but the the next time i come by that way again and see them, i diffidently will help. I am sure they would welcome company or a friendly chat. please stop to say hello if you can or i am sure they would appreciate a tea or coffee . Next time i see them, and i hope i do. I promise to help and support them. ********* Also, i just seen all the review's. I understand everyone's anger and frustration. I have been a council tenant for almost 15 year;'s. Trust me if i wrote a complaint letter it would probably be a mile long. Sometime's i feel like exploding. However, i tell my self the people who work for the council are probably going through the exact same hell we are all going through, especially with the cost of living crises. They have a very difficult and overwhelming work load and central government doesn't offer them any relief. After seeing all the negative reviews it must make the council worker's feel terrible and totally under valued. it will have a very bad effect on their mental health and work performance. Your not going to get the best out of people if you constantly unfairly criticising them and telling them they are not doing a good job. We don't know what really goes on behind the curtain or see back stage and what they have to deal with. Maybe we should try telling them what a great job they are doing instead of being negative all the time. We just might get a better service.
Breach human rights of tenants and don't follow the appropriate processes when victimizing venerable tenants whilst ignoring reports and convictions of known criminals and child abusers as they are friends with certain housing officers
Been in contact with them for weeks now regarding their car park in the city that is spilling solution onto car windscreens and will not be removed and they are now just ignoring me and had to pay for a new windscreen. Poor customer service and care to residents
Difficult website to negotiate. Difficult to speak to anyone on the phone to discuss a problem. Very frustrating.
Unbelievable service couldn't give a damn about tenents leave them in dreadful conditions with no help and the so called councilors to busy getting there photos taken to help tenants got to be one of the most corrupt council in England having to get ombudsman involved
