Visited on a Sunday night around 8. Food was good portions a good size and the price very reasonable. Tables where we'll set with nice quality cloths glasses etc. We could not Finnish all the food and they where more than happy to supply take home container's. All in all a nice meal. The only minor irritant was the time taken to get the food. Like so many others they seemed to be giving priority to take away and delivery orders.
Shame. We're loyal customers spending regularly on monthly sit down and weekly take aways but no more. Arrived for buffet at 7.30pm but not much left and they didn't want to add more buffet ends at 8pm. Told me to order a la carte, which I did. When bill came I asked for £5 service charge to be removed. The manager said he wouldn't remove and SHOUTED at me saying that he didn't want me to have poor quality food from the buffet as a regular customer. I repeated that I didn't want to pay the service charge. He shouted at me across the restaurant again. Would love to know what the other customers thought! Needless to say that we won't be returning. Appalling way to handle a reasonable request from a regular customer who spends several hundred pounds on the restaurant every year!
Ate here for dinner last night. It was a great experience. The staff were very kind and hospitable and made us feel so welcome. We have special dietary requirements which they catered to excellently. The food was great and very flavoursome. Will definitely be coming back here again :
I am a regular local here and love the food. They often cook it to my liking when requested for example, without added sugar. Was charged a mains price for a starter I ordered and this was quickly remedied at once.
Good food, but somewhat slow service.
We just visited Sri India on a weekend away to Brighton with our 4 year old son. We booked in advance only to turn up.. get seated and be asked to order later as they are busy, I told the waiter can we atleast order for our 4 year old as it's 7.30pm and he is hungry, to be told give him a drink and some papadoms!!! To be very honest the restaurant was over half empty. How rude of the waiter to tell me to give my hungry child some papadoms and a drink instead of food which is what you would expect as it's a restaurant!!! I could not believe my ears and had to walk out very very angry!! Following this the waiter just looked at us like we were being silly!! On another note the restaurant is not very clean, when my son and I walked passed the kitchen to use the loo, he shouted out wow mummy the kitchen is messy and dirty!!! Honestly if I were you DO NOT go to this shambles of a restaurant with no customer service what so ever!!! I hardly ever write reviews but just HAD TO for such an appalling place!!! DO NOT go there... absolute nightmare!!!
Consistently great curry over the past three years. I have tried others in Brighton but come back to these guys as they represent excellent quality and consistently excellent food. Value wise they take some beating as most dishes include rice and popadoms. Delivery is also fast. I'm on a health kick at the moment so on calling and ordering the tandoori mixed grill Tonight they happily swapped the naan bread for a huge and delicious, fresh, healthy salad. No trouble at all and here within 30 minutes. Top marks to Sri India. Great food, service and value.
Not an Authentic Indian Restaurant, sweet food lack taste. I specifically mentioned while ordering not to add any sugar but all in vein. Manager was reluctant to accept mistake and made excuses for lentil they used. Shame!
Initially as a food critic I was appalled that the 45 minutes turned into 1hr and 5 minutes and to top it off our food was cold, luckily I had the oven on warming the plates so the curry went straight into the oven, once it was hot it was delicious, however the response I got from the staff and manager at the restaurant when I called was terrible,, YES they offered me 50% off on my next order but surely they should have compensated me on this order and been pleasant, Im no scrooge but come on Customer Service should be the most Important thing when you are dealing with the public ! To the Owner : You really should invest in putting your staff on a Customer Service Training Course to ensure they do not upset your bread and butter,, as the Pyramid training course goes !! I will be sharing my experience with others which will also impact many a possible new customer for you !!! From one very disappointed family :
Restaurant is actually known as "Asiana" now so don't be fooled. Food was awful and overpriced, host was also very rude. Save your money and go elsewhere to save time waited 1 hour and a half for food to arrive as well as money was overpriced.
