We decided to visit the Station pub as it is our closest pub on foot. We booked a table to eat for 7:00. Although it wasn’t very busy we were given a table right by the side of the bar which unfortunately meant that as one of the staff passed us whilst clearing another table my jacket got a big lump of mayonnaise. Luckily it was a leather jacket. Accidents happen and I didn’t mention this to the staff. We ordered fish and chips and asked if we could possibly have a green salad instead of the mushy peas and we were told it wasn’t a problem and yes we could. When the fish and chips arrived it was fine, nothing to complain about there. However the salad portions were served in extremely small pots, presumably the ones used for the mushy peas. By the third mouthful we had no salad left and ordered more salad which arrived at the end of our meal and for which we were charged. I would have preferred to be told that salad could not be served with our meal. Having said that my main issue with our evening at the Station was that although it was not busy at all when we arrived it took 45 minutes for our food to arrive, by then we were halfway through our second drink. I wonder if the wait was deliberate to ensure we would have another drink. An altogether rather disappointing experience and the bill came to £48.73.
What a beautiful well thought out pub reminds me of classic classy boozers in london to where I was born, staff very well trained couldn't be more help full. What let it down was the food Sunday lunch potatoes not cooked hard in the middle had the lamb now I know it can be fatty but half of it was fat very disappointed my partner had the beef unfortunately no steak knifes provided couldn't cut the meat side Oder of veg the pumpkin well under cooked could not eat Now I know I should have complained at the time but the staff catered to our every wim we asked for more jus thin gravey which was return with speed one for beef and one for lamb Now I know they want to be a cut above the rest and my god with the deco and staff you have got that with out a doubt but Sunday lunch I could have got that for half the price and better and not paid £21.00 for a very standard bottle of wine sorry but the food doesn't match the pub but I hopefully this will Improve a very close friend of mine whom owns several businesses in Brighton felt the same. Sunny lunch had a looooovely bolognese here with my family. Service was excellent, thanks to Moni, she was so lovely and accommodating!

Ordered a takeaway from here through JustEat, food came after 30 minutes was very hot and everything tasted was delicious. 2 curries, rice, naan all for £15 including delivery and came with salad and mint sauce
I’ve generally been a bit disappointed with most Indian/Bengali takeaway. Until now. The Tandoori chicken starter is fabulous as is the chicken Teaka balti and the Dall is great as well. In fact everything we’ve had from here has been delicious and I can highly recommend the place. Great value and good service too and very enjoyable food. You can’t really go wrong. Top marks. EDIT: I originally posted this review on Just-Eat but this restaurant's Just-Eat profile seems to have mysteriously disappeared only to be replaced with a brand new restaurant account, so people don't see their negative reviews, perhaps? Our food took just under two hours to arrive. It was thankfully still warm-ish but not hot. Surprised that they didn't include any poppadoms at all - first time I've had an Indian takeaway where the restaurant didn't include any. When we called up after about an hour and a half we were told that the food was on the way, and sorry they'd had loads of orders this evening. Just a suggestion for the restaurant - if you can't cope with the volume of orders that are coming through from a service like Just Eat, maybe stop accepting them all, as it's going to affect the reviews you get on here. There are loads of Indian takeaways to choose from in Brighton and the service we received this evening was pretty lousy. Reading through previous reviews this isn't an isolated incident same goes for the lack of poppadoms! so perhaps consider listening to your customer feedback? All that whinging aside, our food tasted great. It would have benefited from being a bit warmer but the flavours were good. Thank you
I use Bengal cuisine regularly and from my experience it's consistently great. Fresh, hot, tasty, authentic, fresh ingredients , great value for money, friendly staff and always quick delivery. Satisfaction every time. Thank you Bengal cuisine!
