DELICIOUS FOOD! We visit the nearby town of Woolacombe every year for a family holiday - Squires never disappoints us. The menu is classic, great prices and desserts are yummy. I'd recommend the fish curry - so so good.
Fantastic food and huge portion size! Their fish tasted very fresh and the batter was done right! The fish curry was surprisingly delicious and came with both chips and rice. We also upgraded the chips to a cheesy version which was amazing! The service was fast, the seats were spacious, clean and comfortable. I highly recommend this place for a quick but fine meal out.
Portion sizes where perfect and more than enough rather than not enough. I felt guilty for not finishing it all. The fish was perfect, the curry sauce was amazing. The halloumi fries where massive and again felt guilty for leaving some of them. The fish curry had a nice kick and the service was quick. And a plus to it all that the staff smelt nice, well kept, hygienic and smelling like a bed of flowers as they walk past 11/10. Go eat there
Best fish and chip shop!! If you are staying in ilfracombe area please check out this place, it’s a short drive but 100% worth it! It’s a lovely family owned restaurant and the food is gorgeous!
Had cod and chips with beans followed by a salted caramel sundae and it was amazing, staff was lovely and nothing was too much effort, even got me more chips when she saw I had eaten them all before my friends, amazing. Will definitely go back.
Use to get takeaway from here when we were on holiday in the area, it was always really tasty. Booked into the restaurant this time round and the fish was still excellent. Well cooked, flakey and not too much batter. Good portion sizes for the price. If you love fish and chips you have to visit.
Lovely clean and inviting shop, very fresh and uncluttered. Staff were friendly and efficient. Generous portions, slightly more expensive than I'm accustomed to paying but everything is going up. There were several vegetarian options, and a restaurant next door where you can dine in. The haddock was lovely, firm and flavoursome, batter was crispy, chips weren't greasy and were well cooked. There is on-street parking outside, if, like us, you park across the road it's cash only.
Fantastic food and service. Friendly staff, clean restaurant and toilets. Food always tastes good and clean. We were also asked if we would like extra chips, which was a no brainer. Food was delicious!!
