Placed an order, I asked twice for a bacon and sausage baguette, chips and a chicken goujon kids meal…..she put my order down wrong bacon & egg even though I asked for bacon & sausage. So had to get them to change it. Then when it came back the sausage was under cooked, well too pricey for what it is and staff have no idea what they are doing. Kids meal was ok though and the bottle of water that’s about it, wouldn’t use again
This is specifically for the "Pizza in the park" the cafe gets a 2 out of 5 see below. PIZZA the food of the gods, and finally Harlow has entered the world of quality pizza, bad things first. No they do not deliver. No they are not open late. Only one size. Now the good stuff, a quality pizza, with good crust and just the right amount of chew and snap, the tomato is pretty decent never underestimate the need for good tomato in a pizza and the cheese is good, with enough to make the pizza feel covered but without becoming swamped. Cook time is pretty quick there wasn't a queue when I went so this could be different if its busy What does this all mean in the end? Well I'm gonna say this is the best proper pizza in Harlow right now. *My review of the cafe a few years ago* I wish I could give this place a more positive review but sadly no. Ordered a vegi cheese burger and tea, asked if I could have a different bun and was offered a bap. Nice, then I asked if I which milk jug was soya but was informed I should have said earlier Who knew?. So I pay extra for the milk. And then the food arrives, oh dear, my bap was a sponge burger bun. No great loss, but the great insult was the slice of plastic cheese slice on top of my burger.
Staff attitude wasn't particularly friendly, when asked for the drink that comes with the kids meal we were told "it's in the fridge", and we had to wait for about an hour for our food. Food is ok but service is poor
Fantastic cafe set in a beautiful park. Staff are all really lovely,cheerful,always friendly and work so hard. Christina is a delight. Always stop here when walking my dog Bert and he loves the free dog treats. Food is delicious especially bacon rolls. Highly recommend.
Literally, the life of the town park, Spurriers Cafe is. But also, to those of us privileged to be their immediate neighbours, what a blessing, what a team.Food: 5/5
The cafe is such a wonderful addition to the beautiful park. Staff are so friendly, work so hard and do it with a smile. Great choice of food and drinks...a real treat on winter/summer dog walks. There's even a jar of treats for the dogs on the way out. A little busier at weekends but that's a good thing... it means it will continue to thrive and to serve us so well.
A nice place with a good variety of food and drinks to choose from. You can eat in or sit outside. There is also a toilet on premises, wheelchair accessible
My favourite place in the whole of Harlow, absolutely love it on a nice sunny day. Been coming all through the pandemic and the ladies there are lovely, couldn't have got through the social isolation without them - especially the server with the red hair.
Great place for a yummy bacon sandwich and a cuppa. Dogs welcome to be in outside seating area. Puppachino and dog ice cream available
Went in only to buy some ice creams for the family. Lady serving with red hair literally had zero customer service. One word questions and answers made it feel awkward. I got the impression she either didn't want to be there or wanted to go back to bed. Unfortunately won't be returning, I don't know why people do customer facing jobs when they don't have any people skills. Basic "Morning, how can I help you? Goodbye" etc is really simple.
